@iSt3ve1 I know they are two different things. I meant it as they can walk OR corto, not meaning they are the same thing. I have always seen the corto as a smoother version of a trot (also being 4 beat rather than 2), so I meant they can corto for as long as any other horse can trot (sorry if that didn't make sense)

el caballo es muy fino le pega bien al piso pero mucho cuidado con la herrada porque el caballo muestra claramente problemas de aplomos en su tren anterior es un buen caballo

The truth, open minded, without passion or fanatism Paso finos are usually longer in their stride...if left untrained they tend to show a longer, more relax gait...paso more largo...and can be used to ride longer distances...however, after rigurous, expert training, some may develop a very short, quick gait like this horse...this is a learned behavior usefull only for show purposes, not for true equitation, and indeed, require a great effort on the horse to perform, only a short time...

I´m sorry but I work with horses for 20 years doing horsemanship, breeding lusitano Horses as well hannverian horses and studing dressage and classical equitation visiting several centers in Europe America , and we have gaited horses as well but this gait simply you can ride two miles with a horse like that this is not equitation, i´ve been searching paso finos in liberty and they don´t walk like that

@marcospitta this is a horse that is for exposition only ridden 30 mins of the immense effort it puts to walking you havent heard much about them if you think they dont walk like that

@Cytr0gen Actually I work at a Paso Fino farm and have had to lead pasos including a 3 time Bella Forma Grand National Champion. He walks normally, same with all of our other show horses, including when they are under saddle. Sure you wouldn't ride a horse at a fino for very long, but they can walk or corto for as long as any other horse out there.

@marcospitta ok I know your comment is really old but I realized I didn't clarify something. This gait is called a fino. Paso Finos can preform a walk, corto, largo, and some can preform the fino (they can also trot and canter, but trotting is not desired for this breed, their trot is a corto).
