When Greg Sorbara, Liberal Finance Minister, looked at the books after the Liberals were elected he said there wasn't a budget deficit. Remember the Conservatives balanced the budget. When it came time to implement election promises they cried there was a budget deficit.

I haven't lied once. Sorbara was quoted on Nov 13, 2003, the article was written by Colin Perkel of the Canadian Press. Harris inherited a horrible situation from Bob Rae. The Federal LIBERALS cut funding to Ontario via transfer payments by BILLIONS, Ontario's credit rating was downgraded. Harris balanced the books.

LOL let's see if McGuinty actually balances the budget this year. Sorbara already admitted the claim of a P.C. deficit was bogus on Nov 13, 2003. The Ontario Taxpayer Federation has said McGuinty's #'s don't add up. Since he has won the TSE and the Dow have losing 100's of points per day. Chrysler laid off 1100, let's see how McGuinty is for the economy in 2008 & 2009.

Remember when the Ontario Conservatives lied about having a balanced budget? They left us with a 6.5 Billion dollar deficit. Dalton had to increase taxes, you can't get 6.5 billion from cutting government.

In my opinion, integrity is always the most important issue, I voted for Dalton.... and am beside myself on the number of broken promises. I just loved it when Bill Carol used to replay that quote from Dalton "They will not be paying a penny more in taxes under a Liberal Government as they are right now under a Conservative one, thats what counts"
