When I think back to the astro fighters and how musch they were it makes me sad because if If I had the same amount of money as I do today I could have had like 10 of them.

You know what sucks? I once made the whole Base and since it was my first huge ass lego set, it took me a long time. The next day, my mom drops it. ALL OF IT BURST INTO PIECES!!! Now some pieces disappeared and I can't rebuild it.

I miss Lego selling these sets. They were the BEST! You know, we should all write letters to Lego Corporation to tell them to make a Mars Mission 3.0 Tech comeback! With all new Aircraft, Ground Units, Special Limited Edition Sets, and another immense set such as the MX-81 Hypersonic Operations Spacecraft. Thumbs me up if you're with me!

dude, i think this is a sweet base. i like how you did like the power plant, barracks, dropship landing, and the shuttle. the shuttle connector is cool too.

The Armored Drilling Unit may still be purchased at LEGO stores... or online via eBay. Unfortunately it is a Limited Edition set, and to my knowledge it isn't on LEGO Shop @ Home anymore... you may check, though. As with the Hypersonic Spacecraft, it is $80.
