  • nice stuff! should it be possible to control the nxt directly by bluetooth?

  • It should be possible with the new Android SDK 2.1. When the version will be officially available for the G1 I will work on it.

  • @linuxgeocacher - actually the bluetooth support is available in SDK 1.6 I believe - I got it orking on an HTC Hero connected directly to an NXT - have fun!

  • @linuxgeocacher - I like your Android WiFi/Bluetooth NXT demonstration anyway - ingenious :-)

  • @amplivibe Now I adapted the application to Android 2.1, the NXT can be controlled directly via Bluetooth, see description of the video.

  • can u please share your code? i want to use it to my university project. please be generous. you have done an amazing job

  • There is a link on the right side from where you can download the code and instructions.

  • Nice work!

Now that android fully supports bluetooth, have you thought about reworking your app to simply send a signal from the phone to the robot?

I was thinking about creating an app like that, but when i needed it android didnt really support bluetooth...

  • Will try it under Android Version 2.1. Hopefully it will be coming to the G1 soon.
