How annoying! AT LEAST make the sound accurately! No giggling! This is a distress sound. Whoever was annoying this bird had to REALLY have him worked into a state of fright for him to make that sound. I've had peafowl for twenty years. When I hear this, I know to look in my yard to make sure there are no dogs or other wild animals chasing or harassing my flock.

Alot of zoo's just let them wander around, there practically harmless, I doubt you'll ever be able to get close enough to pet one because they just run away.

That is a peacock, not a peehen. peehens are brown in color. that is most likely a juvenille peacock that has yet to grow his long tail feathers.
