Hi, your video is best in here for beginner. My plan is planting potted pigmy date palm tree in my patio. Please teach me how to plant and what to need
Hi I am trying to find a fig tree that would not grow too much and I could keep it in a large pot. Do you have any ideas of where I could find such a fig tree not taller than maybe 5-10 feet here in Los Angeles? I called some place but they said they dont recommend to keep a fig tree in apot because it would dwarf the tree and its not recommended but Iam sure they sell smaller ones that wont grow as large. I recommend ur help!
A few questions for you. What type of fig variety have you planted? Can you recommend a good variety for North Florida? Is it best to plant in the Spring or Fall? Do you leave the fig trees in pots, or do you eventually plant in the ground? Thanks for your video, very informative!
@psychicriver Sorry for delayed response. I would plant in the Spring rather than Fall. I planted two varieties, brown turkey and black jack. They were the varieties available when I went to the nursery. I hear black mission fig is delicious. I think all of these varieties will grow in your area. Usually the local garden shops will have the species best suited for your area. I plan to keep my fig trees in the pot which is why I selected 22" large terracotta containers.
Hi - I would recommend you plant them in separate pots. When the fig trees are small, they may only need a small area to grow, however, you will need to move them to larger pots as they grow in size.
If you start them in the same pot when they are small, the roots will get entangled and you will have a difficult time transplanting each to different larger pots down the road.
I have a question ... iv broght 3 fig trees from Greece to the USA and it looks that its doing well here , this is the first year...My question is that i have planted all tree fig trees close to gether in 1 pot ,will it do well togethere or seperate them in to 3 pots ?
