At 54 years & 300 lbs for over 25 years, this is the best, most forceful thing I have seen or read! I plan to watch it daily til I can tell you Thanks.. I'm back! so accurate... "the one legal drug" I waste time & money looking for enlightenment when I know exactly how to find it.. RAW! Love what you do... keep up the good work!

  • Thank you so much for making this video Dan! I'm 21 years old and have been living off of processed foods my whole life and I've felt terrible lately and I really want to start on raw foods. This is a great video for a newbie like me! Thank you!

  • peace be with You, man ;}

  • This is the one video that I now listen to EVERYDAY to keep me on track. I like the no-nonsenseness of this. Dan lays it all out there for those who are serious about wanting to get their lives back together. It's surprising how our foods can determine our moods.

I notice that I feel righteous and good when I've eaten a huge colourful or green salad and I feel crappy when I eat a boiled egg or any animal.

Like it or not, your gut is connected to your wellbeing dictates ur mood and mindset.

  • good video Dan...arnstein and mcdonald power! Let's get the word out!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • HOLY SHIT!!!! I LOVE YOU!!! I am so happy I found you!!! BLAM TELL IT LIKE IT IS SUBSCRIBED!!! I fucking eat frozen pizza's and hot pockets, then chase it down with mtn dew and I KNOW!!!!! is bad but I keep doing it over and over again ahhhhh, I'm subscribed lest do this...

  • Wooah! You've just helped me to come back on the raw food diet! During last 4 months I've been eating cooked and processed food but now I found the power inside to be 100% raw vegan and try one more time, thanks thanks thanks Bro!

Lot of love and fruits&vegetables :D

  • Great tip about having oranges and bananas for breakfast. Never would have occurred to me. We're so conditioned to cereals or toast, etc. I'm the only person i know, where i live, who might have fruit for brekky, Dan !

  • Yep, this vid hit the spot. Thanks Dan best vid ever!!

  • Thanks Dan for your very insightful views and opinions!

  • :) funny at the end...- glad to see your adverts are back up....

  • Please do a video for weight gaining. I´m rly thin and i want to become bigger in size.

  • the little you gave here was awesome!!

  • Dan... can you come to my house and convince to my parents to let me become a raw foodist?!? Cuz you've got me convinced. And what about pets? Is dog food cooked too? Can you feed dogs raw foods like humans? Cuz they're carvivores.. only thing you can do is feed them raw meat right?

  • Dan, this video is SO ON POINT. Thank you SO MUCH for just being REAL.

  • This video is powerful. I completely agree with getting rid of stress, stressful people, and really eliminating all negativity as much as possible. The connection between mind and body is so powerful!

  • thank you so much for this video. I am about 80 lbs over weight. I have already lost 20 lbs but I am looking to go raw. I think the weight loss will be a lot easier for me.I am going shopping to stock up on raw foods today. thank you for the inspiration.

  • Medical insurance could also cover your recovery in a car accident, or other unplanned trauma that isn't related to how you are living your body. No problem though, I live in Canada!

  • @soho2014 You can get medical payments option for your auto insurance relatively cheap. I plan on getting that, and if I get sick or fall off a ladder, I'll just have someone run me over with the car. That's U.S. medical "care."

  • hey dan or anyone, is hummus considered raw?

  • loooool love the ending hahaha...

  • Would someone still lose weight by eating cooked brussel sprouts, and apples, or oranges or bananas everyday? Will you be healthy eatin ghtat way for a long time.

  • Dan, you made me cry. You said 'you have to love yourself enough to live your dream' and guess what? I don't. That's what's been holding me back. I'm heavy and hate myself. But watching you I've slowly started changing that around. I still have issues, I'm still heavy but I AM worth it. I AM worthy of love and light. I never gave myself permission to be ok with that. Thanks Dan. You just... I have no words. You mean so much to me and I haven't even met you! I wished I could hug you. <3

  • good stuff ~ ~

  • Good video!

  • dude chimps aren't human. even so, only like 1% of chimps eat meat and even they don't do it all the time. That's hardly a compelling argument. I see you have no response to my other comments so you've resorted to a chimp argument. I see how it is. I will not waste any more of my time in this debate. To all of those enlightened enough to go down the raw food path, be well, and I'll see you in a 100 years

  • @deathgod836 You user name says it all! deathgod836 vs. liferegenerator?!? Uh... I think most of these people are going to choose LIFE over death my son! Join the Rawligion! lol :D

  • @liferegenerator

no thanks, if this raw vegan thing work for you and you feel good and alive than fine but i'm a logical, realistic person and i believed that intelligent adaptation is the key to survival of our species. Omnivorous humans can eat a broad range of foods, and survive in habitats where a vegan could not--e.g., the Arctic, Tibet. It should be noted that it is due to our omnivorous adaptation skills that we survived as a species and we are alive now

  • @deathgod836 thanks for your unsolicited OPINION there "death god"

  • @deathgod836 That's cool that you're going to live in the arctic! Take a vitamin D at least. There's a higher rate of multiple sclerosis the higher latitudes, and many other problems related to lack of direct sunshine and other issues. This increased incidence of disease may be due to vitamin D or other reasons regarding decreased UV radiation from the sun itself. That's one way in which it's difficult to adapt to an inhospitable habitat.

  • @EarthAwakener Unfortunately, the lifespan of far north Inuit people was found to be 12 to 15 years shorter than the average Canadian. In 2008, a report was released that showed the further north they lived, the lower the lifespan. If you look around and you see mostly deadness, maybe it's time to move. The greatest things that allow us to adapt to change are our legs.

  • @EarthAwakener

There are no perfect diets; we live in an imperfect world. If you have made a reasonable, sincere effort at a raw diet, and it doesn't work for you, then common sense suggests that you should change diets. The diet must serve you, not the other way around! This raw vegan thing will work short term but can be problematic in the long run. I also think it's more important to focus on body composition rather than lose 50 lbs in a month.

  • I don't know where u get your information. I get mine from Lou Corona, I living raw vegan of 38 years. I advise u to take a sample of his blood and compare it to anyone who eats meat, you'll see a night in day difference the appearance of their red blood cells. Not to mention strength & consistent bowel movements. You must be reading someone who's still teaching a traditional cooked diet. America is run by corporations & people who manufacturer processed foods and don't want u to know the truth.

  • Your mind is so clear. Right on!

  • Dude you rule. Seriously. I feel more healthy and confident just watching tins stuff. Bless you man.

  • @earthawakener, very helpful, thanks. but i wonder if Dan is aware of this??

  • Yes!! Love you Dan!!

  • one of your best videos. great job dude.

  • Love this GUY!!

  • i had to lol about the skinny raw food punk haha nice 1 bro, but thats the way it is, people are retarded..

  • Few years ago I went on a juice fast for 2 weeks. I lost tons of weight and felt very energized. However I was dreaming about eating and broken up fast with baked potatoes. I didn't feel very well after that for months that's why I am scared to do the raw. I also remember looking very pale the whole time on the juice fast. Why is that?

  • Listen hear you "Skinny raw food punk"....great video LOL!

  • I watch u all the time love you.... However you talk alot about stress and lowing it. My problem is my job and profession is stressful. I just went in the last four months from 222-to 168 but I am a mental health professional. Any tips. I would really like to encorperate alot of your teachings with my clients. Although i am a mental health person, I take alot of holistic views

  • thank you. for being the truth and taking up being the leader we need for the education of health physically, mentally and emotionally. since getting away from cooked foods (not completely ) i have to say, you are the truth. just from the little changes i made i have not been sick in almost 2 years! God bless you on your journeys and life. i love your videos daily, please keep up the great work.

  • Sorry to take up so much space. B12 stores in your liver and will deplete over time, and you may feel fine until you suddenly have potentially a serious problem including nerve damage. Do yourself a favor and look for vitamin B12 that's a product of bacterial fermentation, and avoid supplements that list liver on the label. I welcome any alternate views, or questions. A good page to read up on b12 is veganhealth 0rg slsh articles slsh vitaminb12

  • what do you think about supplements? i cant afford to eat so many veggies :(

  • How Ya Doin''

  • You have great skin! I never noticed before!

  • Hey Dan, would be it bad to have the occasional small serving of "decent" meat with dinner like certain kinds of fish or lean beef, or chicken? Also what's your take on cereals and yogurt?

  • i love your videos man, i have been raw on and off for 4 years now. i lost 112 pounds so far and have two juice feasts so far. but i keep falling, i am so addicted to food it is insane..watching your videos and your positivity has helped me sooooo much through the years to inspire me to do better. thank you

  • beautiful skin, beautiful soul!

  • Thanks for the brutal truth....

  • thanx for letting us know how much fruit to have! i have been trying to go all morning at work on 1 banana and start feeling sick and weak. now i know why!!

  • Type PRIZE before youtube and hit enter

  • Dan the Man,

What do you mean by "shutting off the brain?" Do you mean just secluding yourself and not worrying about your problems for a while, or do you literally mean stop thinking? If it's the latter, how do you do that exactly?

    Thanks! I can dig it!

  • Wow.

  • great video bro

  • Dan, I wish I could explain how much this video meant to me. Tears came to my eyes watching this. Your truth, love, compassion, and realness is so greatly appreciated. Much love to you, and everyone who reads this. Thank you!!! Peace.

you definitely hold some major truths with in you....

  • you are not a "skinny raw food punk" to anybody in their right mind--seriously! I am an "almost" raw foodie and really enjoy your direct, honest approach. Sometimes the truth of how we really are gets through, in spite of our intense addiction to food and diet drama! I think you're helping a lot of people.

  • O this was such a great video, loved it. Your funny to an so passionet, I watched this one twice ;)

if you come thru cali, you got a place to stay with some serious waterfalls and springs and nature all around. (and we dont need anything from you either...so you can just chill.. haha)

  • So one can mix fruits and veggies for sure? I read that fruit should be eaten alone, but love to put spinach in my smoothies! I am not looking to lose weight, but build muscle. Thanks as always, Dan!!

  • @guitarlovenjc you can mix fruit with leafy greens, no problem.

  • "Catching Fire" by Richard Wrangham. Google that shit

  • lovin my daily dose of Dan

  • The best- enlightened Dan:)

  • Cooking probably helped shape our evolution. Humans have benefited from the nutrition in cooked food for well over 250,000 years and it’s not a bad thing. Many nutrients that are important to the body – various carotenoids, for example – are often only released when the food is cooked. Over-cooking will reduce the amount of vitamins, but hopefully you don’t do that anyway, because soggy or dried-out food tastes bad.

  • @deathgod836 You do need the enzymes from food. If you don't get the enzymes from foods then it starts stealing them from else where like your pancreas and other vital organs and you don't want that. You must make daily deposits of enzymes (proteins) so that these things called cancer cells don't over multiply and attack your body. Men and women lie but statistics don't. If you live in America, you can just see all of the sick/future cancer patients that we have in our society. folks R sick

  • @jrda128

Harvard’s Dr. Richard Wrangham suggests that the advent of cooking played a major role in increasing the availability of brain fuel for our ancestors. Cooking changes food in three important ways, according to Wrangham: it “unfolds” the amino-acid chains of proteins, making it easier for digestive enzymes to process them; it makes starches more digestible; and it “physically softens” food, effectively allowing us to get more calories in with less work.

  • @deathgod836 Raw fruits is the brain foods. I'm not just saying this because I eat raw food but studies over and over again show that eating raw fruits/veggies are much more nutritionist for the human body and it's also easier to digest. That is a fact and really can't be debated. The doctors that oppose or try to deter people away from eating raw foods, are the same ones that are getting rich off of people's agony and suffering instead of telling people to eat more raw fruits and veggies.

  • @jrda128

If you want to eat raw vegetables and fruits and nuts to obtain more nutrition, fine, but there’s nothing spiritual about it, and subsisting on raw food to the exclusion of some cooked foods could ultimately be unhealthy. Also, including calorie-dense meat in our diets allowed us to ditch the larger guts used for digesting inefficient plant matter, and we developed big brains and eating meat allowed man to spread to harsher climes, where vegetation was sparse or only seasonal.

  • @deathgod836 Eating raw is only unhealthy if you do it the improper way. If you soak your nuts and seeds and culturize them by adding proteolytic probiotics, you break down the food into the simpler elements before it enters your body. You get way more value and energy out of your food this way. How is that not healthy? Eating meat and robbing your body of it's enzymes only causes further digestion problems. Look at the people in this world who live the longest, as in 100+ yrs,all raw foodists

  • @bisheguin128

Supposedly, raw food (or enzyme supplementation) is best because the “living” enzymes in it help you digest your food. This is bunk. YOUR enzymes help you digest your food. Even if you are getting big doses of “food enzymes” from all the raw fruits and veg you eat, they don’t do much of anything, as they are treated like the body treats every other protein: they are chopped apart and digested for their amino acids.

  • @deathgod836 I agree that it's no spiritual thing at least it's not with me anyways, and I agree with you 100% about incorporating cooked food in the diet such as steamed veggies. People don't have to go 100% raw to be healthy and that's not what I'm saying. There is absolutely nothing wrong with cooked food, it's the choices of cooked food that ppl are eating that are making folks sick. I picked raw foods because its satisfying to me and I feel great and alive. Great convo though.

  • @jrda128

i agree with eating garbage food and process making people sick but many nutrients that are important to the body – various carotenoids, for example – are often only released when the food is cooked. Over-cooking will reduce the amount of vitamins, but hopefully you don’t do that anyway, because soggy or dried-out food tastes bad.

  • "various carotenoids, for example – are often only released when the food is cooked." simply not true. You don't even sound sure of it yourself. they are "often" well how often? I question your credentials as well as the credentials of anyone you've read. The proof is in how you feel. If you eat soaked, cultured, raw nuts and seeds with fruits and veggies and nothing else you will be disease free and never get sick. The proof lies in doing it.Experience it for yourself.it works fast

  • @bisheguin128

our closest relative in the animal kingdom, type in chimps killing and eating a monkey into the search engine and watch the first video that show up

  • XOXO TO YOU DAN!!!!!!!

  • I just love how you break it down really simple. No time? No recipe? Just ask your higher self what it wants and how it chooses to be nourished and it will come back to raw food every time. Your open heart of loving flooding the Universe, thank you for following the path and serving us all with you humor, intelligence and most of all with your heart. People, if you haven't donated to Dan yet, you are not seeing the opportunity to be part of the grace of him continuing the message.

  • Dan, you're the MAN!!!!

  • I love your videos Dan! I can dig it! Wanted to share my newest one with everyone. Check it out in the video responses section.

  • LOL: 12 donuts & 15 cups of coffee "And our Brothers and sisters love us in the Lord! what a wise statement! Just the same as: 10 pieces of cake, or 6 pizza slices, 8 burritos, 5 glasses of soda, 10 cadies, and oh my dear brother/sis you're great, sharing with us all these blessings, keep them coming!-It's a shame Dan, all human beings living and accepting garbage :( ..I just feel bad about it but I knowt people will change until they want to. Peace and Love! Good and FAV vid again

  • WOW Good message

  • My first response is to think that everyone already knows you'll lose weight by eating raw foods, but on the other hand some don't. Nevertheless, I think an elusive demographic for you would be those of us relatively healthy, but have some health problems like acne, anxiety, or injuries, for which we'd rather turn to antibiotics, beta-blockers, or anti-inflammatories, respectively. Relatively healthy meat/muffins/pizza eaters promote moderation.

  • you make sense

  • AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME VIDEO! I love it when you get fired up! Your passion is extraordinary! Love you :)

  • @kamalalovely

It is the passion and his conviction and my own conviction that got me started with raw food, especially after watching this video. I am raw for 4 days now and feel great. Lost 5 lbs already! whoohoo! :)

  • @daemona71 That's so wonderful! I've been about 70-80% raw for a couple of years now and I believe it is the only way to go. Keep it up and congrats an feeling great and losing weight!

  • @kamalalovely

Thank you. What are the benifits of being 70-80% raw in 2 years? I think 70-80% raw is realistic. I still have some hummus with chick peas, which I love to eat with my veggies, but will try to make it with zucchini next time. I really find it easier if I have some dips with my salads and veggie sticks. I am not too much into fruit, but I do eat it as either breakfast or lunch.

Cool moves on your channels. Is that you?

  • @daemona71 Haha- no, that's not me. I wish I could do that! Maybe I should practice :)

Benefits- my skin doesn't break out anymore & I acquire a visibly healthy glow! I stay lean & don't get spikes/declines in my energy as I used to when I drank caffeine and ate sugar. For me, 70-80% is healthy & realistic- that way I don't get too extreme & I can indulge in small amounts of cooked food or sweets & enjoy them! Go ahead & eat your hummus if you love it! Sounds like you're doing great!

  • ...eat some bananas...BOOM!

  • Dude! You need some sunshine!

  • How ironic... an ad for high fructose corn syrup played after this video! Anyone else?

  • Your videos are so needed and inspiring in this world, Dan. God Bless You, Man. We all need you to continue to put all you say out there. The foods and showing how wonderful these foods taste and feel. The videos that address the mental and emotional issues everyone is dealing with. And Obesity....We need you Dan!! Thank You!!

  • Hahahaha Daaaaan is the man good stuff dude.... im drinking my lemon ginger blast hahahaha

  • Thank you Dan for making this video for me. It means a lot more than you will ever know. Looking forward to changing my life!!

  • I like and agree with alot of your video here. that being said Biological Anthropology evidence is clear WE evolved to homosapiens because of eating cooked food, mostly meat. anyone out there really looking to be healthy know this, you donot need to drop meat. do drop all the other crap Dan the MAN said to drop though, he's right.

you do not need to fear meat ,but don't take just my word for it.

read "Catching Fire: how cooking made us human" By Richard Wrangham professer of Bio Anthropology

  • This is by far one of the best videos from you I have seen. It reminds me of the life long ordeal I have has since childhood because of obesity. Growing up obese and finally losing 200 lbs with a high raw diet allowed me to get to where I needed to be. I completely agree that it all boils down to control. You have to control what you put in your mouth, and also learn when to back away from the table. Thanks for this video and all that you share with the world!

  • Just watched this for a second time... you are a new hero of mine. Bill Hicks, David Icke, Dalai Lama, and now you :) I am not obese, I am not particularly unhealthy, but I am committed to unconditional, unlimited, divine love, and you have become a vital component in enabling and expressing that, and I am grateful beyond words. In Lak Ech, my friend.

  • I'm going from dairy-egg-vegetarian to vegan/raw, and duuuuuuuuuude, I'm feeling great!

  • Thanks for the video Dan. Been watching most of them and I got my parents to join me in a raw vegan diet. I'll try to get others to watch your videos and have their life regenerated.

  • Wicked great video!!! I agree it IS one of your best. This will help a lot of people!

Thanks for all you do. :)

  • Great video, Dan! Thanks a million...

  • One of your best videos! Living loving light to you!

  • I agree-one of your best videos-I never thought I wanted the repetition but I realize I need it to keep the message in my head when I am choosing what to eat which is all the time. I find I am being more conscious of my choices...I guess repetition keeps me "choice challenged" all the time. If possible i would like to hear what it is we need nutritionally to not be deficient in anything and how your method achieves this...This info would eliminate some of the fears of going raw

  • One of your best videos ever Dan. I wish they could air this on television as a wake-up call to everyone.

  • Nice vid today Dan. Thank you.

  • Good video!

  • @balancetheories, I do. I was just wondering what the amazing raw diet had to say about it. Because, apparently, not washing your organic greens is enough

  • GREAT! Thank you Dan.

  • GREAAATTT VIDD!!!

BUT WHAT REALLY HOLDS US BACK IN LIFE???

DAN!! DO THE VIDEO ON THE "EGO".....GREAT TOPIC!!!

KEEP CIVILIZING DAN!! PEACE FROM TORONTO!! BRRRAP BRRRRAPSS!! ;P

  • You were so right about the need to get rid of the stress!!!

  • Another great video Dan. I love how you keep everything simple.

  • DAN, THANK GOD FOR YOU!!!...I'LL BE 46 NEXT FRIDAY, AND I SWEAR TO YOU, I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT OVER 1/2 MY LIFE, YOU HAVE SHOWED ME THE WAY!!!...I COME FROM A FAMILY OF SERIOUS MEAT EATERS, MY GRANDFATHER WAS A BUTCHER, STEAK FOR ALL THREE MEALS OK?...I FEEL 100% BETTER, WHAT ABOUT ORGANIC SOY MILK I USE FOR MY SMOOTHIE?... THANK YOU, AND GOD BLESS YOU MY BROTHER. CW

  • Hi Dan, I never hear you speak on water. Can you PLEASE help me out with this subject matter. Are we to drink 8 glasses or per our weight or what are your views on water drinking? Thanks and have a GREAT day, Denelle

  • Hey I started off with 32 ounces of smoothies, it was hard at first but I got used to it in 2 weeks. Now I drink 64 ounces of smoothie in one meal. I put 4 bananas, 2 cups of grapes, one apple and a bundle of chard, spinach or collard greens. Sometimes I just do bananas and dates. Sometime I do mono meals. I just do a 7 banana mono smoothie, this is usually my breakfast. Mono meals works best as a breakfast for me.

  • You speak the truth!!!

  • YOU ARE A GOOD PERSON

  • your the best dan amen

  • Comment removed

  • Amen!! F*#$ Tradition!! Do what works! Good luck to "600lb dude this video is for" YOU CAN DO IT! The past is gone - NOW is your chance to make the right choice. Just try it dude; it works! :) It's not just what you eat but what you don't eat. Clean out your environment and stuff your face with whole raw foods!! LOL ;) It's only hard if you don't want to change. The cravings for the bad foods stop when you stop putting them inside you. Peace & Love *1 green juice EVERY day* :D Choose LIFE!

  • The life regenerator man. : P

  • Liferegenerator, please educate us on B12 deficiency

  • @OSword1 just supplement bro. Nothing wrong with that. Check out Healthy Habits B12 patches on Amazon.

  • @OSword1 Hello! Not much space to add to this here for a viewer. Long story short: while I'm not 100% raw, I've eaten a plants-based diet for the past 20 years and am knowledgeable about nutrition. Because we are removed from nature, spend lots of time indoors, treat our drinking water, rely on modern agriculture for food, and so on, there are certain nutrients that can be problematic even when not on a raw diet. Vitamin D and vitamin B12 are examples. D is artificially added to dairy, ...

  • @EarthAwakener ... but the main source of D should be your own skin when exposed to the unblocked sun during time of year when there's plenty direct sun at your latitude. Dan has mentioned the sun. With B12, it's the only vitamin synthesized in nature only by microorganisms. It does not come directly from plants or animals. It ends up in animals, milk, eggs because it's digested into their bodies. Domesticated animals in agriculture have their diets supplemented. Cows are fed cobalt to help

  • @EarthAwakener bacteria in their digestive system synthesize B12. In our digestive systems, we cannot rely exclusively on the bacteria in our guts. If we were out hanging with the gorillas in nature, we would be sucking it in everywhere. In a diet in the comfort of home, because it's not found inside of plants, it's important to consider having the insurance of making sure you have a source of vitamin B12, such as a supplement. Some will disagree, but I have arrived at this based on science.

  • I really appreciate this video!! You made some really excellent points in this video. Totally can relate to "a lot of stressing and not a lot of being" That is so true. All of us get caught up in the everyday stress when we need to just slow down and take a look around and think about what really matters in life. Thanks for this video!:)

  • I love your videos. The are helping me soooooo much! Thank you for helping and sharing.

  • Home run bro. Keep sharing the knowledge and love my friend.

  • You are soooo wonderful. Thank you for saying as it is!
