That's cool no matter how you look at it, would probably make a good class project for a lot of math classes. We did a nail on a board with string for an alegra 1 class in 7th grade teaching us coorindates???, that was sooo many years ago but it helped pound (pun intended) in the concept whatever it was at the time even though it was 30+ years ago I can still remember it !

it is not too stable without tape, what i did is when i made the little pieces i didnt make the little pocket inside and when i connected them i stuck the triangle in the part where the pocket wouls be and use a little bit of tape to hold it. it is a verry good and fun thing to create, highly reccomment it!

I finally just finished it and I'm not sure it was worth it.. it's cool how it collapses and i like the rhombic shape but the trouble of making the 60 units is nothing compared to the trouble of assembling them. not to mention it wasn't as stable as i imagined without adhesives. the flexibility has the property that when it's set on a table it slumps =[ the design was published in the BOS magazine fyi.. thx for sharing!

If you read through the comments about this video you will see several people who have trouble seeing exactly what is being done. The color of the paper is very dark and the lighting is poor, so edges and folds do not show up clearly. The hands and paper are also rather small in the frame; no reason not to bring the camera closer and add a couple of lights.
