  • I think we can all agree....rotary or LSX.....RX7's kick ass! :D

  • Man, right as the video started I thought this motor had the famous GM piston slap x10 lol. Scared me.

  • Muscle or tuner?? Lol

  • to all the tuners saying you can beat v8s any time...

try to race a fast v8, not a clapped out 500k mile pickup truck...

  • @mageac You have no idea what you're talking about, stop making yourself look stupid.

  • @Destroyoman why because your civic beat a 1983 monte carlo?

  • @mageac I don't have a Civic actually nice try though. I have a 2003 Evo my dad has a 72 Chevelle, a 79 Camaro, while my grandfather has a 72 Stingray, and a 55 Bel Air that my dad built. So try and talk shit now.

  • @Destroyoman well then because your evo beat an 80s monte carlo...

fact is, not all v8s are fast, people shouldn't brag about beating a 150 hp 305...

  • @mageac I never bragged about beating a 80's Monte Carlo, I never even mentioned one or about beating one.

  • D: no rotor no motor, at least with the RX series, you shoulda just done a 20b or a 26b, and threw on some turbos, idk, it's not an RX-7 anymore, it's lost its soul

  • @nitefrost328 You are correct sir!! Nice car but no soul. Might as well stuff a rotary in the Vette. :P

  • when i first got my 1988 rx7 in 1997 i thought i was cool until a corvette on the hwy wanted to race it was a old indy pacecar corvette, he gave me about a halfmile i thought i beat him, my foot to the floor in 5th gear. The corvette passed by me like i was broke down on the hwy. since then i drive the car like a little old lady, fully stock convertible. great car for weekend driving, beautiful sounding exhaust note inside car smooth rotary notes. Everyone wants to buy it but not for sale sorry.

  • nice car, rims look gross tho

  • Keep that motor out of the rx7. Like the motor and the car, but i want to see rx7's because they have the rotary engine.

  • How is that ignorant to like the type of car. I could care less about a stock rx7. To make matters worst to me a rx7 is just a foot bigger miata LOL

  • really, swap a rotary for this? that rotary has so much potential

  • @Allele17 How so? Once you start making power your just going to be wearing down the motor even quicker... and everyone knows these P.O.S. rotary's don't last long to begin with. I don't see how constantly swapping a new motor in is considered potential. Not to mention parts are VERY scarce for 13b's, and when you do come along parts they're damn expensive.

  • @need2speed94 They're expensive? Not at all..... a rebuild kit will run about $700 and that includes all internal seals, springs, orings and gaskets. the external gasket kit is about $150.

and the OEM apex seals have lasted in many drag cars.

parts are not hard to come by either.

and there are plenty of 100k+ mile RX-7s on the road. Including a few of mine.

If you take care of them and are careful with mods, they'll live as long as any other car.

  • @need2speed94 You're statement is pretty typical of some who either has never had the pleasure of owning a well cared for RX-7 or was a neglectful owner.

You'll wear out ANY motor the more power you squeeze out of it anyway. The rotary is no different

  • @Allele17~ rotary is junk compared to this.

Trust me, i used to like the wankel, until i found out just how much a piece of shit it is.

  • @marek0086 Amen! This all motor V8 with torque all over the place, even though it's more than 5 times the displacement, still gets more miles to the gallon, less oil consumption, better reliability, and the aftermarket is endless for LS motors. Wise choice for the owner. To all those who say it has no Soul ... BS it just enlightened the car. It's got more attitude, a way better power band and a nasty sound to match. Rotaries are awesome feats of engineering but they're not practical.

  • @drewnashty~ they're junk for so many reasons.

  • @marek0086 you're junk for so many reasons =D

  • @drewnashty My drag FD says different.....

  • LSX makes any car better :)

  • Wheels are doodoo.

  • @nathanallencox

    CCWs are far from doodoo

  • WHAT RIMS R THOSE

  • @youngmoney565

    CCW LM20

  • @youngmoney565 CCW's

  • what a joke

  • That shit is clean as fuck! Love the LS7

  • @urx7bad1... Easy there.. you don't need 4 rotors to prove v8 garbage better... There's plenty of 13b out in the track that has V8's dreaming they can pull some low #s... V8 over rated and unnecessary...

  • I've seen plenty of "small fry" tuners and imports blow away v8's.

  • @Destroyoman and I seen many, many many many V8's blow away "small fry" tuners.

  • @Mr2010Luistorres Okay, I'm not saying that one is better than another, I love both. But one isn't better or worse than the other. It's just preference.

  • @Destroyoman I don't think that either.

  • @Destroyoman you're right. tuners and imports SUCK.

  • @Destroyoman Yeah but not a Ls7 thats a 500 HP stock enigne.

  • @Destroyoman

yeah but they need a computer tune , a turbo , and extra camshaft

    to do it : )

  • @RIEKSONE lawlz that's why they're called "tuners" because you put your blood sweat and tears into to make a one of a kind car that's truly yours

  • @Destroyoman maybe, but how long after that did it take their engine to blow up from all the boost?!

  • @EightEqualsDdotcom1 None, because it didn't blow up.

  • @Destroyoman Is he trying to pull the old "rotaries are unreliable" crap?

  • @TheRotaryDemon No just another V8 douche bag... stupid people. Don't get me wrong i love V8's I4's V6's everything, but people are so shallow. Why cant we just love all cars?

  • @Destroyoman i've personally tuned at least 2 dozen subarus that have done that very thing. Wish I could say i owned them, but no. Just a cool job.

  • japanese + muscle = perfect formula

  • @calloftehviking7 agree

  • Nice to see that imports are getting with the program

  • @tothemax24757 now domestics should get with the program an begin to handle

  • @tothemax24757 is you brain "programmed" to only like one type of car?! :D LOL thats pretty fucking ignorant :D

  • @tothemax24757 There was a guy on the subaru blog nasioc.com that put an ls1 in an RX7 back in 2005-6. They've been with the program. Basic car guy math: Big motor, little car, great suspension=lots of fun and mischief. Doesn't matter the brand, type, country or motor selection, winning combinations don't give a S**t.

  • I just want to slap you for saying rotory is a junk. 4 rotors kick LS1-LS? ass any day.

  • Keep that shit in the Corvett where it belong, disgrace to all of you.

  • OMG I want one...

  • worthy of having that anvil under the bonnet. fuck handling.

  • @citizenwr100 Not true... LS1 swapped, might be 50lbs heavier than a fully dressed rotary... even still... most people will re-locate the battery to the back. So it still retains 50/50 distribution of weight...

  • @citizenwr100 lsx motor is actually relatively light

  • NICE !

Is it a conversion kit , or did you make the fittings yourself ?

  • wicked rx7 i like it

  • this thing is insane! good work chucking out the junk rotor

  • @StreetHypnosisOz nothing wrong with an engine swap, but the rotary ain't junk.

  • @StreetHypnosisOz naw rotors are neat yeah its v8 blah blah blah when are you gonna need that much power if your not gonna race sometimes you dont always need the biggest and the badest cus sometimes it never gets the right use

  • @PanCakePB V8 power is perfect for street. When you're on the highway cruisin at 1.5k rpm at 100km/hr its beautiful. When you see a hill, V8s climb hills effortlessly glides while your convential small engine strains just to get up speed. When your at the lights and some small fry turbo boosted wannabe lines up next to you, that V8 insta torque rips them a new one. 90 percent of douche bags on youtube have never seen a track nor have the financials to back up that expensive hobby.

  • @ohnoes300c yeah were i live dont have hills and highways are always in traffic

  • @ohnoes300c rb26 > v8 .. all day every day no questions about it. When people stereotype turbo/tuner fans as being "small fry" ... i think you should look up the nissan skyline gtr series .. cause your seriously missing the picture here. Sure your forking out 30 - 40 grand .. but its worth it.. especially on reliability

  • @En4trance 6s I dont mind. When I say small fry Im talking about these holligans in Subaru WRXs, Mini Cooper S, RS Ford Focus, mainly 4 banger turbo rockets that slap on a turbo to accomodate for the lack of torque then go and throw AWD in the mix to kill that power. 90 percent of the skylines you see on todays roads are povo cunts with sticker, CAI and exhaust mods complaining about simple maintenance costs. The ones that actually work on them save their hard work for the track.

  • @En4trance Not that great on reliability actually.

  • @ohnoes300c I've seen plenty of 4cylinders blow the doors off many V8s.... on the street and the track, so your comment has no relevance

  • @StreetHypnosisOz oh yeh and push rod system is good no its worst peace of shit ever

  • @KLONIME1001 i suppose that's why the ls7 has a higher power to weight ratio then mazdas 280 hp 1.3....

stupid pushrods being light weight and compact!

  • @mageac The rotary is going to always make more power per cubic inch than any typical street driven V8.

I hate pushrod V8s. The potential for failure is greater. I've bent a few pushrods in my dads C5 Z06 had a built LS6 with a Vortech blower. We consistently pulled 9s out of it all 10 pulls before the pushrods gave, and the second motor didnt yield much better lasting only 1 race season as a street car.

My 650hp drag FD has been though it all and hasn't skipped a beat, all 1.3 liters

  • @rotor13 power per cubic inch is irrevelant if it makes less power per pound...

and if you bent pushrods you should hire a new engine builder

and either way, you have no idea what your talking about, changing a pushrod on an ls engine would take about 25 minutes and wouldn't hurt other parts of the engine

  • @mageac It is perfectly relevant as power to weight, my FD makes 650hp and weighs 2400lbs

And a pushrods WILL hurt other parts of my engine, like keepers/retainers/lifters.

My builder is one of the best LSx builders, LMR, maybe you've heard of them.

Maybe its just me and my dad then, we not only race at the track, but we also street race and try our mettle at Mile racing. Our Vette gets punished, but apparently no one makes it handle our abuse. If that offends you, I wont apologize

  • @rotor13 liter/hp makes literally no difference... if it weighs 200 pounds and makes 200 hp it doesnt matter if its a 600 cc engine or if its 12L... the fact is, the 13b may make tons of power for a 1.3, it also weighs as much as a v6, and the rew weighs as much as a aluminum v8...

but seriously, engines only bend pushrods when they are either built wrong, or are over revved.

  • @mageac actually, there's only a 65lb difference between the 13B (with all the fixins) compared to an LS swap. Ever held a turbo? They ain't light, buddy. Neither are cast exhaust manifolds.

  • @ViviLiberoOMuori "and a bad ping/detonation from a poor tune or a bad tank of gas will result in a blown rotor seal. Both engines have faults, so get over it."

Thats only going to happen if you have shit seals, and a shit tune.

And a bad tank of gas? That'll happen to any boosted engine.

Most of your "experience" seems to be heresay from the internet.

  • @ViviLiberoOMuori

You get a good tuner, quality seals and builder, and the rotary is just as strong as any other engine. The rotary is not as fragile as people make it out to be.

Its the ignorant owners who think they can turn a wrench give the engine a bad name.

I've owned and built many rotaries over the last 15 years..... the only motors i've blown are the ones that have seals that were being prototyped

  • @ViviLiberoOMuori You're exactly right, both engines have faults...... why dont YOU get over it and stop making poor excuses for something you have no experience in?

You, just like any other fanfag, talk so much shit about the rotary and you havent ever built one, much less worked on one.... if you dont have first hand experience, you have no place to say anything thats based on hearsay.

  • @ViviLiberoOMuori just because their close in weight means nothing, the rotor set-up postion is futher back in the engine bay giving the car a better center of balance with weight being transfered over through a turn. The rotary is wonderfull engine that can perform well, hell RE Amemiya wouldn't have spend his life behinde
