  • Would love to play the piano like this! Its a great song, love it!

  • I was 9 when this came out. I loved it so much I would go and stand in front of the radio and just stare at it I was so entranced by the song. The only other songs I remember doing that to are by the Sons Of The Pioneers. Blue Water and Tumbling Tumbleweeds.

  • Billboard 1950. march 18. No1

  • Did not Teresa Brewer's Daughter Sing? Remember seeing her together on TV in the 70's hey were both beautiful...

  • amazing song

  • Some of the instrumental that doesn't sound like big band almost sounds like ragtime. Thanks for posting this song. My parents used to go around the house singing it all the time. It was always on the oldies station too and we never knew who sang it until now.

  • @HappyCyberGuy7 You're welcome! Teresa's original 1950 hit recording of this song (which I also have posted) was with a Dixieland band, so they wanted to recreate that feel with this re-recording. It's not often that re-recordings are better than originals, but I do feel this 1953 version is the definitive one.

  • @TheLimePopsicle Thanks for the additional information. Yes I love the dixieland backing.

  • this was my tap song once

  • This song reminds me of the 20's haha

  • this is definitly the best version and is the version i first heard when i saw it in the time life "Fabulas fifties" infomercial

  • @CenaTv2 I agree, this is definitely the best version. It's also the first version I ever heard.
