.dont cry or feel guilty anymore.first you are human.second you are a mother and a damn good one,but they both make mistakes.my youngest daughter had beautiful hair like your baby 5 years ago,me not feeling well let my middle daughter do her hair, she put the wrong perm in and was afraid to tell me until my baby's hair started to fall out,i cried more that anyone will ever know, did that make me a bad mom (NO.hair dont come close to all that confidence they have,YOU did that.:)
You better not beat your self up b/c of there error. I have been watching your videos for a long time you take good care of your hair & your kids hair also.
This will just be a learning experiance for you... I know you are crying b/c you are mad I do the same thing! Your little girl has beautiful hair b/c you have been taking care of it all these Yrs. Brown hair isnt so bad at least its not some crazy off the wall color...Be Blessed and keep the videos coming!
if the product had the slightest bit of peroxide in it it will change the hair color on virgin hair. I bet it does look good. my daughter5 had a sore in her hair and i put a cotton ball on it with peroxide on it and it turned bronze. I put it all over to make it even. Hubby didn't like it but my daughter looked like my bronze baby. don't fret. it will grow out. let it be and keep it extra moisturized to keep it from breaking but she and you will be fine! you all right honey.
thanks for sharing this. but do not beat yourself up about this. you did what you thought was right. we live and we learn. you made a mistake, we all do. you are more learned now about what you will use on your childs hair and your hair,
I'm so sorry you went through the emotional stress but that is a chemical reaction that happens to a lot of natural virgin hair. As long as her hair and skin didn't have any other negitive affect she's ok but if you don't like that effect definitely by all means stay away from chemicals. Good luck and you seem to be a good mom
my little sister's hair was like that. my mom is the kind that finds it necessary to perm hair to meke it managable. my sisters is six now and she's been transitioning since april.
her hair changed colors to. while her roots are growing black..her ends are light brown.
don't feel bad hon. you seem like a really good person and mother. it was an accident, stop beating yourself. every parent makes mistakes. i was looking for videos on twists and i actually joined youtube and subscribed to your channel because you seem so caring and you have given me some very good ideas on my daughter's hair. she has hair like lil babie and i am going to try your styles. that company was ignorant and unprofessional to treat you that way. keep shining, God loves you.
sweetheart you are not a bad parent anyone can see that just by the pain you are feeling over it.. and that company was bogus for just sweeping it under the table the could have at least asked was she ok and try to correct the situation even if the product was free
I wish i could know the product/company name.i will never think your a bad parent. We can never be perfect. We all make mistakes and more but its mistakes in diffrent ways. Your not prostituting your children for drugs like some do. You did not abonden them. Dont worry.
Bless your heart...hun you did not know that it woud do that to your daughter's hair. Don't beat yourself up.Thank you for sharing your experience with us, I really appreciate it. Be blessed.
Stop beating yourself up. Good parents make mistakes too. Remember though that you did what you did, at the time, because you felt it was a good thing. Keep on being the best mom that you can be and all this will work out. I would have sued the company. Just stick with what you know works. God Bless.
We need more mothers like you!! Our kids come first no matter if it's hair or not. I have a 2 yr old son and gets hair cuts but inbetween I think if Qhemet will give him a reactions, or some conditioners so I feel you. Thank you for this video.:) I'm subbing.
you are a really good mother and I can see that in the videos. Your children are so happy and are really good kids. We live and we learn but you haven't done anything wrong. Luckily her hair is still nice and long and hasn't broken off. One warning about the Jam gel..I used it in the past and over time it broke a huge patch of my hair out. Be careful with that product. Anyway, keep doing what you do! Remember you've helped a lot of people with your videos including me:-)
I took my daughter to a hairdresser that I thought i trusted ,She had permed my daughters virgin hair ad cut it all my years of growing it seemed ruiened
Hey, again I am new to youtube and I appreciate the great advice. I see your daughter has a similar hair color as my baby girl, my daughters hair is straight, but course, sandy brn in color, very soft and braidable, its growing finally but I cannot put petroleum products in her hair because she has alopecia, its a disease that makes her hair fall out easily. so the question is, have you been able to find any products that would add moisture and shine wihout the petroleum?
so sorry you had this experience...i know this was months ago but i hope her hair is back to its normal color! God Bless you all...your family is so beautiful :o)
dang you really are serious! well im sorry that happened but dont worry i heard aphogee works wonders for damaged hair but if her hair really isnt damaged or anything dont use it. i recommend you look up the products & read about it.
My husband took our daughter to the hair dresser for her birthday. She had naturally curly fine beautiful hair. The woman permed my baby's hair and GLUED IN WEAVE! I am furious. I'm trying to grow it back. I recently tried a new product on her hair. As soon as I saw the thinning, I stopped it. Prayed recently and God showed me something to restore it. I just started the regimen I know how you feel as I am heart broken and cried about my princess' hair. Thanks for sharing. You are a good mom.
they have a product called megatek you should try it! it helps with breakage and restore hair thickness it might help get her hair back to where it was! my friend is trying it and it does wonders, only thing is that you have to purchase it online stores do nt carry it
Thanks but I am going to use aphogee on our hair from now on. I want to be safe..followed a recipe from someone on youtube recently and now my hair has bald spots. This is my last time seeking advice or granting it here. God bless.
if you want to indigo henna should turn it right back!but its ok dont worrie just keep taking care or it the best you can...i think personally you do a great job!
Hey, aslong as yo daughter think it's cute/okay and there's no further damages to her health/hair, you shouldn't worry so much about it. I know you're a concerned parent, but if your daughter cool w/ it and you choose not to pursue legal action, then there's no sense in stressing/worrying & feeling guilty any longer, sista.!? Hey, what products made her hair turn colors? Thx 4 sharing. I gotta go.
Girl you made me cry. But its alright, you simply didn't know. Put it like this, you are smarter because of it. I hate the way you had to learn your lesson, but God is good because it could have been worse. Be blessed girl, it will be alright.
You didnt need to feel guilty about that. You didnt do it on purpose. She has beautiful hair and I can understand why you feel that way because its not chemically treated or anyting.Your baby is young and her hair is still pretty and of course she will surely grow out all of that color after while. You're not a bad parent, you just made a mistake that's all. It'll blow over.
You are going to make me cry. It's not your fault. Alot of the things we eat or put on our bodies are not good for us. For they cause cancer. You are a wonderful mother and very proud mother. Keep your head up tender heart.
U are Not a bad parent because u made a mistake. We all make our mistakes. Anyone who says they don't is lying. Please stop beating urself up about it. This too shall pass!
Sorry about your experience with this product. I hope that you are able to stop further damage. You didn't know it would harm her hair or you wouldn't have put it in her hair, so don't feel bad. Just take extra care for her hair and get it back on track.
I hate to see you cry...The hair will grow back and think of it this way her hair could hair turned green!(smile) It could have broken off...even if it did, it will grow back. Yes it is shocking and upsetting for this to happen and I would be upset like you. But we live and learn...
You are a wonderful mother, don't feel bad. These things happen. When I was 11, my mother put "Rio" in my hair, and had to cut it all off after the fact, that didn't make her a bad parent. Hair grows back, just be patient. You make wonderful videos, and it shows how loving and caring you are to your chldren.
You are a wonderful parent!!!!! And you should NEVER feel bad about what has happened. You have also gone above and beyond to make sure that others don't suffer...don't be upset! You have a wonderful family and
God has truly blessed you and yours-no one can judge u and so stop being so hard on yourself...God Loves You
Relax....We understand and thanks for the warning because we don't know of some of these ingredients that are harmful to our hair. I feel sad that this happened to your child's hair and I sympathized with you.
Great Video, If you need any help getting your video/channel exposed check out this site called Tubeviews . Net it has helped 5 of my videos get ranked on the first page. Hope this helps you
what companies are you talking about, most natural hair websites or websites that claim to be all natural and good for natural hair but contain alot of chemicals? i've been mixing alot of my own things i find in the kitchen, i dont use alot of commercial. sorry that happened to ur daughter.
why you feel bad u didnt kno the product was going to change her hair colors all u knew was i got some new hair product i hope it work that was there problem it didnt turn out how they said it would so dont feel bad
I am so sorry this happened to you and your baby..but this can be a blessing in the long run.. Try making your own products... I pray that you are blessed beyond measure. Be encouraged. Much love.
First of all let me start off by saying just by listening to you and seeing your pain I can tell that you are a great mother. And I am not trying to be negative but you are being too hard on yourself because everybody makes mistakes and that's what make us human and it is not like you did this to your childs hair on purpose. And I also think it was very nice of you to take time out of your busy schedule and make this video to warn everybody about using new products that is on the market.
Aww please stop crying you had me crying with you!! I started to feel bad because the day I watched this video I tried Kids Organics on my daughters hair. Your not a bad mother, faaarrrrrrr from it. We all make mistakes I just thank you for admitting yours so that others can learn from it. I wish I could give you a hug I feel like ya'll are part of my family. Its going to be ok before you know you'll be looking back laughing at this situation. Be Blessed!!!
Man , I felt your pain, but you & your daughter are gonna be just fine. Do you realize how fast hair can grow? Try making your own products, do what you was doing & her hair will get back to normal before you know it.
don't cut her off, just like everyone is sayin let it grow out also just go back to basics. Look at the upside her hair didn't come out and she's smiling. If you keep stressing she's then going to change and get upset too. You don't want that okay!!! Now Stop It and pull it 2gether she learns from you how to deal with things and every now and then we need to learn from them(children). I understand more then u know about making mistakes but the child doesn't all they know is you fixing it
I am so sorry that this happened to you & your daughter. My heart goes out to you. We all see how much you love & nurture your family ... it's air-apparent. And don't get me started on how much you've shared w/ us on youtube! You are not guilty ... don't let this steal your joy. Please don't cut her brown ends off ... this may make u feel worse later on. She is so beautiful & joyful!
Don't blame yourself. Sometimes when companies give out "free" samples, this is there way of testing the product. Or the the product could be old and stale and they want to get rid of it. Sometimes a product you use all the time could be defective because of the wrong ingredients being included or not included. Companies recall products all the time without public knowledge.
Don't feel guilty you are a wonderful person. Speak truth to power.
you didn't do anything wrong. sometimes these things happen. your daughter's hair has a ph balance that is uniquely hers. i can use a shampoo that will break my scalp out in sores. someone else can use the same thing and do just fine. sometimes i wonder if the chlorine that treatment plants put in our water systems is possibly reacting with product ingredients. high amounts of chlorine can affect hair color. you can purchase whole house water purifier filters that get rid of a lot of chlorine.
Aww don't feel cry! You are a wonderful mother who loves and cares for her children. It's unfortunate this happened, but it's not your fault sweetie. As long as it didn't burn her scalp or have her hair fall out you guys are ok. Just continue to nurture her hair back to where it was. and again I'm sorry
Don't cry fam, I'd be thankful that it only turned brown on the ends and didn't make it fall out. I agree with making your own stuff or closely checking the ingredients before using any products. Companies are all jumping on the "hair craze" band wagon and are producing new products so we just have to be on our A-game and know about the chemicals they are putting in them. Consider it a lesson learned. Her hair is still beautiful, you're a great mom for continuously taking care of it.
There were plenty of times that I've brought products that I've used on my daughters hair without using it on mine first. Don't feel guilty for this, I know it doesn't feel good, however you were responsible and confronted the company regarding their product. Today's companies dodge being accountable for their products. You live and learn day by day. Also, I wouldn't be too concerned with what people think especially if it negative!
Family , honey, please don't cry. This minor huccup does not reflect poorly on you parenting it has nothing to do with you.however it does have somthing to do with the product and the company ,for not putting a warning on the bottle (law suit)look at the ingredient list .If it's got hydrogen peroxide in it then that is what is causing the brown color and this effect is only temporary. if not take a shit load of pictures, save the product ,and call a lawyer! dont cut the baby's hair!
I'm so sorry this happened to you. Based on your videos, we all know you're not a bad parent. This company is the ONLY bad person in this situation. That you for sharing because you may prevent this from happening to someone else.
Please don't feel guilty. Omg! this is not your fault. You had no idea this product would change your daughters hair color. Why would you. I think you are a great mother.
U must let us know what product it was so that no one will ever make that mistake. Also so that company can be investigated in terms of what ingredients that are used. I'm so sorry what happened. We all take that chance when we buy products that we have no idea whats really in it. Thats why I make my own products. Maybe you should look into that. God Bless!
There are so many good ingredients like jojoba oil, coconut oil rosemary oil advocado oil and the list goes on. Since I started my hair has grown healthy.
when I washed the product out ,her hair was super hard, it stripped up every [piece of moisture out , every piece of oil , its like everything was stripped .
Whoa! Calm down! You are NOT a bad parent! You had no idea two product would clash and create a chemical reaction. Also don't cut just yet. You could use cassia to naturally dye her hair back to black. Google henna hair cassia for more info. Finally I think you should disclose what products created the color change. I have never heard of a product clash this severe...
NO ONE will ever think of you as a bad parent for putting a product in your baby's hair. We take a chance with every product that we buy that everything will turn out the way the commercial says it will. The problem is with the company and their product! I know that right now they're getting their chemists together to figure out wth went wrong! But Pooh...you are a GREAT mother and all you did was try a new product and it failed. The company SUCKS!
So sorry that happened to yall. Don't beat yourself up too bad mama, we live and we learn. God knows I have had many products that didn't work for me and wanted to cry looking in the mirror. Recently I made up my mind to stick to simple products I can buy offline. I never did like or trust exclusive online companies. A simple regiment and top 5 to 10 staple products is all we really need for our natural hair.
You are a great mom! Trying to take care of your daughters hair is never a crime.
Thumbs up to EVERYONE'S comments before this one. You are a caring parent with wonderful children. You are a good mother. What happened was an accident. You've kindly warned us against using new products, combining products, etc. Please write the name of the product that you used, in the sidebar. IF it ever comes on the market and someone is looking for a review on YouTube, your testimony certainly will be useful to them.
You told the company, they deny the possibility, shame on them.
Aw Pooh you put a lot of time love and work keeping your daughters hair and that's what makes it so heartbreaking....you are an awesome mom who made an honest mistake . I know it's NOT JUST HAIR... it's your child beautiful healthy hair!... that's what makes it so hard. it will be okay **hugs**
**hugs back**!! tehehe , im trying to bare with it , im just waiting for the results to come back , because something in that product has her hair changing
You take pride in your children's hair, and a lot of parents may only care about the ease of doing their child's regardless of whether their styling methods & aids are healthy or unhealthy, but u do care bout the health of ur children's hair & we can tell how much you love and adore them. Remember, it's just hair!... just thank God that it wasn't a product that caused a deformity or permanent burn or scarring. You're gonna look back and the two of you will be laughing at this incident. It's ok.
Little Lamb, it's going to be okay. You are so warm, giving, and the rock of your family and they know that you would never ever intentionally cause them any harm. It's okay.
I want you to know that God knows your heart and he knows you meant no harm. I do see the color change but that girl has one of the best personalities that a child could have and although you feel/felt guilty I know she will not hold her change in color against you. Good luck to my natural sisters!
it will b okay......she loves it and at least it did not fall out, now that would have been a problem and you would have felt worse......you were doing what u felt was right and u did it not knowing it would harm it........it is not right for them to blow u off....and if u were to put them out there they would think u were wrong!! They would b tryin to sue you......u don't need to feel guilty!! U r not a bad mother!!
In no way should anyone even begin to assume that you are a bad mother you obviously care about your children. You had me over here about to cry... don't stress yourself out I'm sure it will grow out and everything will be fine
Don't feel guilty. Things like this happen. Just think if this is all that ever happens to your child then she is blessed.Think of all the parents that are suffering through autism from shots. The children that go very sick from allergic reactions and die.I feel your pain because you are a great mom. Stay Blessed! I am a mom that seem to have a child that was normal then after the shot he suffered seizures, fevers, hospital stays but he is alive. I felt bad, I was just trying to keep him healthy
It's sad what happen to you and your baby. It'll be okay. You are not a bad Mom. It's okay.

Relax....We understand and thanks for the warning because we don't know of some of these ingredients that are harmful to our hair. I feel sad that this happened to your child's hair and I sympathized with you.

Be Blessed

Family , honey, please don't cry. This minor huccup does not reflect poorly on you parenting it has nothing to do with you.however it does have somthing to do with the product and the company ,for not putting a warning on the bottle (law suit)look at the ingredient list .If it's got hydrogen peroxide in it then that is what is causing the brown color and this effect is only temporary. if not take a shit load of pictures, save the product ,and call a lawyer! dont cut the baby's hair!

God Bless!
naturalosity 3 years ago 2
I agree with making your own products.
There are so many good ingredients like jojoba oil, coconut oil rosemary oil advocado oil and the list goes on. Since I started my hair has grown healthy.

ur not a bad parent b/c u tried a products on ur daughter's hair. it happens, the only thing u can do is nurse it back to help.
Samielle1 2 years ago
Whoa! Calm down! You are NOT a bad parent! You had no idea two product would clash and create a chemical reaction. Also don't cut just yet. You could use cassia to naturally dye her hair back to black. Google henna hair cassia for more info. Finally I think you should disclose what products created the color change. I have never heard of a product clash this severe...
mojitochica 3 years ago

It's ok.
