@cpmc1 No. Nor can you sell it. I was fortunate to find a dwarven sword with soul trap early in the game. I disenchanted that once I got the mace. But really, its not like you'd really use the enchantment until you get the ability to do double-enchanting anyway.

that's a bad ass mace, I give it to my follower and let him/her fill up the gems I find, its very effective that way. And you also don't have to worry about soul capture and then you can put other stats on your shit. The god quests usually give up the best armor/weapons.

To refill magic weapons you use soulstones of various levels, to get filled soulstones you take an empty one, use soul trap on an enemy and then kill him before the spell wears off (or use a weapon with soul trap to kill him) congratulations you can now use the full soulstone to refill your weapons charges. or you can use it to enchant a weapon,

@starslayer159 Hey man this same thing happened to me, just do the quests for the stormcloaks or the imperials, where you take over citys it should reset it. Im a nord, and i sided with the stormcloaks, after i did the quest for taking over The Reach, the gaurds reset with stormcloak rule. And they no longer attack on sight. Try that and tell me if it works man.
