no ya jackass this happens quite often in Japan a smaller guy can take a wicked shit load of moves and kick out they may not win but they hold out. It's called preserverance, even the women of Japan take shit like there's no tomarrow some of them can rally back and win the match. Sometimes it makes the match more exciting, it's not for everyone I'll admit but it's starting to become pretty common for the smaller guy to put their heart into a fuckin match and never say die.

That's not a doomsday device at the end.. it's a clothesline-assisted powerbomb. In a Doomsday Device the opponent is sitting on the shoulders and facing the same direction as the person he's sitting on. Plus usually the impact will result in a backward flip as well.
