did you turn off some of the security features in Vista. I have one too and most of the time it's the firewall. So if you either A) allow FL to go through the firewall or B) shut down the firewall and use a good internet security.
at the disco site there is a black list for virus protectors. Nortan, advast and Mc for vista can mess with the connection. also run as admin. AND get the 8.85 mod and work around
