I own custom 2289g so far Im up to 800 fps. With steel ammunition I bet some of those rifles will pierce..mine does.

@HeliLuuk I think 5,5 is better.4,5 is faster but 5,5 is more weight so energy of the pallets are aprox the same and heavier bullets longer store energy and are more precise and stronger at larger distances.Hatsan 125 in 5,5 is more precise than Diana 350 Magnum in 4,5 because pallets have more weight.

@theodoroscristou yes but you need a weapon license for it. you can buy any type of weapon up to .50 cal except for full auto weapons and explosives and things like knuckledusters.

everything under 7.5 is license free you and can buy it with 18 years.

@glockeva Not necessarily, a .177 pellet at 850fps might have the same Ft/Lb at a .22 at 675 fps. The larger the pellet, the more hard hitting and damaging it will be, its not all about fps!

You shouldnt have use hollow points if you were looking for penetration. Also for a better penetration test you put layers of the target material at equal distances behind the front target to see how many layers the projectile will penetrate. Otherwise nice vid.

hmm...if i were you, for a power test, you should have made a block of cardboard, maybe a square of one foot by one foot, with alot of cardboard sheets behind it, and then you could see which gun went through the most cardboard sheets.

After testing out some different pellets i notice d all or most i used that are "Lead" didnt ever penetrate heavier metal targets/Just put a big dent on surface,But ,with the metal tip plastic sleeve type pellets they penetrated very easy on metal targets.RWS sobot type get alot more velocity and penetration.Just gotta be carefull cause these keep on going through certain hard surface targets and keep going either richochette or beyond initial targets.

They are powered by either springs, pressurized air (pre-charged pneumatic), or CO2.

All of them use air pressure to shoot pellets.

The hatsan is the same exact gun as the Walther Talon here in America. Both made in Turkey ( I think)... but it's the same gun with a different label. I have one in .22cal and yes it does kick-- more than a Ruger 10/22 rimfire rifle! I ran some pellets through a Chrony and it put regular pellets from 880-990 fps, depending on the weight. The .177 cal version will shoot around 1200fps. You get 15-20% more with Gamo PBA pellets. Hope this helps

just bought myself another air rifle after 25 years without one, i bought an smk 20 extremely impressed with it, using promethius paragon steel pellets it will punch holes through nearly 2mm steel plate, 1.5mm and it goes straight through at about 15yards, struggling with accuracy though as it has hell of a kick, totally standard bar a bipod but unlike the other smk 20s in the shop this 1 had a walnut stock for some reason, love this gun. paragons are the best pellet ,lead just mushrooms.
