Wow, finaly someone who plays it accuratly! For the jealous people who'd said you've got no feeling on this piece: i'll let you know that the best classical music pieces needs months and sometimes years to reach the dinamics and expressions intended by the composer. I am pretty convinced that this man over here can do the job if he put his heart on. It will just take some patience and time.

It is EXTREMELY difficult to find remotely accurate tabs for any MK song due to the fact that he VERY rarely plays a song the same way twice.

Wish I could help you out, but I learn and play all MK songs by ear only, no tabs. If you happen to find any, though, I doubt they will be accurate. Except if MK himself wrote them.

@herrwizo I doubt that MK did write them but the only really accurate tabs I ever found is "the official guitar styles of mark knopfler" vol 1 & 2 by wise publications. Fairly expensive, yes, but you'll have to work hard to find any evident faults in them. These transcriptions includes ALL the guitar voices not just the lead parts, so in my view they are invaluable.

If you learn from scratch, I'd say a pretty damn long time. Took me 3-4 years to be able to play "relatively good", but to master this solo another 4-5 years of constant fingerpicking practice. Of course, your mileage may vary.
