that style belly to belly piledriver (technically, I think a 'tombstone' is supposed to be knees first) makes me cringe when I see it performed--too much chance for error and severe injury. Dynamite Kid was about the only one I watched consistently do it where I wasn't worried for the guy on the receiving end, and I'd bet it still got botched often enuph when he did it.

On second glance, i really like the first one because by underhooking the arms, it gives reassurance of safety so that the head isn't too low...such as when owen hart almost broke stone cold's next with the botched move that didnt have an underhook. perhaps if he had underhooked the arms, stone cold's incredible career as the best wrestler ever would have been longer

Owen Hart broke Steve Austin's neck with a similar move. But not before Austin broke Masahiro Chono's neck a few years earlier with the same move. Definitely one of the most dangerous moves in pro wrestling when not done the right way.

Well, to be fair... Taker's tombstone piledriver is a lot safer than a normal piledriver. He drops to his knees and keeps the other wrestler suspended.

Indeed, Akira Hokuto broke her neck in a match and continued to wrestle and even took at least one more pile driver in the match. The tombstone ( not even called that because it was way before the Undertaker) was from the second rop. If it had been the top rope I'm sure she would have died. Also, I think at that time she used her real name Hisako Uno. I am obviously a Hokuto fan.
