It's funny that the keep saying that the monitor is very bright considering the fact that many reviews only measured a maximum brightness of about 240 cd/m². My three year old Syncmaster T220 has a maximum brightness of 300 cd/m², even though it uses tradtional CCFL backlight.
Yeah sure, my monitor is three years old and all LCD monitors get darker over time. But back when it was new it had a maximum brightness of about 300 cd/m². Just google Syncmaster T220 and look for reviews that measured the brightness.
Besides even if the BenQ reached a maximum brightness of 300 cd/m² it still wouldn't be very impressive considering that monitors like the LG Flatron W2363D have a maximum brightness of about 400 cd/m² (again normal CCFL backlight).

@Schweinehirte But if they measure you´re old monitor... maybe you will get no know it doesn´t have that 300 cd/m not even close!! :D
