Please help me with this question. Is it absolutely necessary to join a church to go to Heaven?
I have accepted Lord JESUS, repented of my sins, prayed for forgiveness, study the Bible on a daily basis, preach to others on the streets & on the Internet & try to live a Christ-like life. Will I make it to Heaven without belonging to a church? Afterall, most of the churches are nothing but money-loving businesses that don't preach the whole Truth of GOD. Thanks.
Biblically speaking, the church is the body of Christ,so you are already a member of the church, the body of Christ. You are already a member. Fellowshiping with other members of the body can be rewarding if you choose to fellowship with them in more public worship and service. Joining is not required. You are already a member of the body of Christ, which is His body on earth. Worshiping and serving together can be a source of encouragement and strength. Seek a good and loving congregation.
It helps to be planted in a church if you want to find out God's purpose for you. (Psalm 92:13) so you can grow naturally into your destiny. But it's not necessary.
Then find a church that best fits you. I can't say staying out of a church would keep you out of Heaven, after all, there is only one way to Heaven, right? That is Jesus Christ. But all throughout the Bible there is scripture that would support that you should go. There are many more benefits to being in some kind of church rather than staying out of every church because you don't "like" them. If that were acceptable, then I guess I could stay away from grocery stores?
Todd Bentley needs to come under some Jesus teachings! By that I mean, I agree Spurgeon will teach Bentley some things... but I want to add that Bentley is not even a follower of Jesus at this point. A friend in Washington was a pastor in the Assemblies of God in Washington state. One of the member pastors went to a Bentley meeting and was 'cured' of a tumor. He reported the healing to the pastors' meeting. One month later, he died.
this couldnt have been heard at a perfect time, i was just baking bread and thanking God I wasn't enslaved to bar hopping anymore! Ouch! Praise God for conviction and His righteousness!

No, its not necessary for your salvation.
Salvation is by faith alone.
If you beliave in Christ Jesus then you are part of the true church already.

How is it that you are preaching the whole Truth of GOD but do not know the answer to your question?

jmhjmh5 is correct, but i may add that if you are part of Christ's Church, you will naturally want to be in communion with other children of God.
