The Super NES version is missing the Band Concert level and the staircase sequence in the Mad Doctor level, as well as a few special effects and some of Pluto's appearances. It also adds loading screens between each area.
The Sega CD version adds a sequence near the end of the Prince and the Pauper level where Mickey must find pencils to call the other Mickeys from the six main levels to attack Pete, as well as giving Mickey extensive dialogue relevant to situations throughout the game.
This is how I noticed it usually works....SNES version 95% of the time pwns the Mega Drive version. While Sega CD (other than it's horrendous load time due to it's ancient processor) trumps the SNES version, because it seems that the Mega CD version will overcome and add additional content that the Genesis version doesn't have.
I SWEAAAARRRR EVERYONE on YouTube is a Genesis fanboy. I don't know how many times I have read posts where the SNES people bring up good points, and they always get thumbs downs, on the other hand Genesis people get thumbs up only.
This is how I look at it, most people just don't get it. And I guess you guys just feed into Sega's lies of "Blast Processing" & "High Definitition Graphics" etc...nobody seems to understand technology or maybe just gaming consoles
@dfx987 the games ive tried on both SNES and Genesis are Alladin and Mickey Mania and Genesis version is far better in terms of music, grapchic, gameplay etc etc.. Im prepaird t osay that those fantastic games actully sucks on SNES. sad but true.. the only games ive liked on SNES are Donkey Kong and Super mario but on the other hand, why pick a fat, short dwarf like Mario over a fast cool hedgehog like Sonic.. your pick;)
I´m pretty sure you say the SNES version is better just because you had one SNES. Quite honest, the SNES is a machine with some more features than the Genesis (MegaDrive): Better sound, more colors...
But if you really played both versions, you´d realize that the Genesis version is really better (Onscreen playfield bigger makes camera follow you better, very good pseudo 3D levels, excl quality).
In fact, I might risk saying that this game is one of the three best games ever on Genesis...
I already bought a CIB copy for Sega CD. Fantastic game, by far one of the best games to play in front of young kids (not violent and very fun to watch).
Agreed. Does anyone remember Mickey's Wild Adventure for the Playstation? Was that game a rip-off or a port with a different name? Can anyone clean this up for me?
To VGRetro: I remember Mickey's Wild Adventure. I still have it for Playstation. I enjoyed playing it. It had 2 more levels. One in which you escape from a Giant, and one in which all Mickeys beat Pete.
I have the SNES version of the game. Can you maybe put up a video of the entire game from beginning to end? 'Cause I've heard that there are certain parts found only in this game that the SNES version does not have.
Whats better Mickys Castle of Illusions or Mickey Mania?

There was also a Playstation version. And if you want to know, for me, the pseudo 3D levels are better on the SNES and Playstation versions.

the Megadrive had a lot more animation, and voice overs.
IMO, I prefer the music on the Snes version, though, and its a lil smoother.

Hello,
You know which of the three versions of this game (Sega CD, PSX and SNES) is the best of all??
Teorically must be PSX, ..¿?
Thanks!
meninhodemanteiga 3 years ago
I always played it on the Genesis, but I'm pretty sure it's the same one as the SNES.

Graphics looks pretty good for back then.
jimmerz1975 3 years ago 3
Genesis version starts it off.
SNES version doesn't have tower levels.
Sega CD version had better audio and an extra boss.
Playstation version was a better graphics of Sega CD's version but was never released in America.

Were the SNES and Psone versions pretty much the same? just curious
LeonSKennedy828 3 years ago
