  • Underplayed art form.

  • Great sound, great song. Paul are the best

  • The McCartney album was the catalyst for what is considered 'indie' music today..he literally CREATED indie music with one album..He has covered so many different genres of music and has such an unlimited talent..the man is genius.

  • home-made masterpiece !

  • With this magistral debut solo LP, Paul just proved that HE was THE Beatles alltogether by himself ;)

  • I got this record when I was 8 from my brother in law who had 2 copies.

I LISTENED to this record 100s of times, now I am 47 and have a Studio of my own

ONE OF THE BEST ROCK ALBUMS OF ALL TIMe. It changed me life.D

  • Loved this in 1970 love it now sounds as fresh as the day it was recorded, who is it saying Rock'n'Roll springtime?

  • @MrSRFRALEY I'm positive it's Paul, seeing as he played all the instruments himself and produced it. Same with McCartney II. The only other person was Linda contributing some backing vocals on some songs.

  • @TheOneartist..... Yes I'm sure you are correct, In my mind I always Imagined it to be George Martin.

Another thing ,did you notice on the some of the early LP's there would be a short track that would appear in full on the next LP.And...While I'm at it...the end of Sgt Pepper (Message?or not.) Is different on the Mono to the Stereo (this maybe down to the old Dansette , not sure)

  • @MrSRFRALEY Wha, man? Where are you getting this stuff from? None of The Beatles LP's had parts of songs that'd appear in full on the next. It'd always be new songs.

And the Sgt. Pepper message at the end, it's the same on both mono and stereo. But of course, the mono is the definitive for the all the album songs.

  • @TheOneartist Not Talking about part of songs on The Beatles records but on the early McCartney solo's..As for the message, like I said it may have been the old Valve Dansette making it sound different to me, it's always puzzled me, anyway I was 12 when Sgt Pepper came out and I was about 15 when I got a Stereo copy I'm 56 now so cut me some slack with the Ole memory thing. ( my mono Sgt Pepper was an original bought when released )

  • @MrSRFRALEY And the point of McCartney I and II is that he plays everything himself, he recorded them both at home and he did them for his own purpose without thinking of it being commercial or for others, just having fun creating himself. He didn't even consider releasing them at first.

  • It sounds like the 70's. Lol.

  • ohhh Yeahhhh!! Miss Americaa!!!

  • Paul McCartney/Momma Miss America

    ビート・オン・プラザ‼田中正美です。

  • Remember that, with the exception of a few vocal things by Linda, Paul played all the instruments.

  • this reminds me of the movie jerry maguire.

  • The drum beat at around 2:00 reminds me of Dani California

  • i've never heard of this record- sounds ace- how could i overlook this one? doh

  • sounds awesome...

  • What are the berries on the cover ?

  • el primer album solo de mc cartney un buena pieza de rock

  • What a player Paul was/is!! LOVE IT!!

  • If life is a bowl of cherries, then what is a bowl with no cherries in it? This was interpreted by the 'Paul is dead' crowd as proof that he was truly a goner! Cuckoo!

  • @bunchie1966 No, the cherries did NOT represent Paul being dead, it represented that the Beatles were, "over", "broken up". Since this being Paul's first solo album and at this very moment in time, 1970, none of the Beatles had said that, "they were no longer a band". Just his way of saying, "it's over". The Let It Be album was released in May 1970 coinciding with Paul's solo album released in April 1970.

  • @maximum1954 Of course they didn't, which is why I said: 'This was interpreted by...' and commented: 'Cuckoo!'

  • @bunchie1966 Got ya. I stand corrected.

  • Love your art....

A bowl NOT full of Cherries....

    AWSOME LOOKING and VERY SENSATIVE

  • one of the most underated lps of all time

  • @pedro19611969 Absolutely!

  • @pedro19611969 Yes, i listen to this album a lot and it is very enjoyable. I dont like 'Junk' vocal version as it is just too twee and sickly sweet for me but the rest of it is superb
