i was in smithville today. I'm from Pascagoula MS. it reminded me of us after katrina hit. the Mississippi Gulf Coast has Smithville and all it's residents in our prayers. I'll be back up there for more volunteer work and haulin debre. just keep ya'lls head held high up there.

I live in Smithville... The day it happened I ran down my road checking on everyone got to end of road and saw what was destroyed... That day I helped find bodies of friends and neighbors that I grew up seeing daily!!!! I watched as kids I'd known since birth searched for moms dads and grandpaents! Our school our families our friends and house were destroyed... However our spirit remains! *Seminole Forever* I just want to thank all the ones who have prayed and helped.... God bless.
@Hank3882 Upholstery and Cut & Sew plants were damaged. The warehouse had a little damage, it was the only building of any size to survive in town. FEMA took it over, we had to move all the finished goods out. No one was hurt in the plant, but we had 1 employee killed in his trailer. Relocating plant to Mantachie and will rebuild in Smithville. Will be bigger and better than before. TW

Thank You for this I live in Smithville It is just a small part of the damage as you say. My life was spared God covered me with his Mighty Hand and I know this simple truth God has a plan for me. I helped with search and rescue for the living & dead just minutes after the tornado hit My heart is covered with scars It was amazing to see live pople raise up out of the mud with hardly any clothes on and so sad a few feet over lay a dying innocent child & others dead . Whether it's in new orleans because people are dumb enough to live in a bowl, or in new york on 9/11 (which I'm gonna take a shot in the dark here, was your fault because you voted for bush).... Thank God they are all OK!!!!!!
