okkk!! the blackberry are mostly made for busness phones the iphone is abusness phone as well but fun and entertaining at the same time! Getting a blackberry without getting BBM which stands for blackberry messenger is useless!

for BBM you can text as muchh as u want , send voice clips , send pictures to every one of ur friends who have blackberries! if not all your friends own a blacberry and have BBM then dont get it but with BBM you pay everymonths $40 but its deffinetly worth it .

- BB 8900 has GPS

- BB 8900 has a higher resolution screen (480 x 360)

- BB 8900 has a 3.2 MP camera with flash while the 8520 has a 2MP camera and no flash

- BB 8520 has dedicated media keys

- BB 8520 uses an optical trackpad while the BB 8900 uses a trackball

You can always use UMA if you have a WiFi connection as then pages will transfer over WiFi.

No you don't need a BB data plan but then why get a BB?

Without a data plan, your BB becomes an expensive phone. In other words, you can make calls, text message, and use the organizer functions without any problems but so does every other phone, and there are ones cheaper than the BB.

There's always the $15 personal e-mail plan which gives you unlimited e-mails (including attachments) and instant messaging but no browsing or network based third party apps (e.g. Google Maps).

Never tested how long you can record a video but I believe I have tried recording for about 5 or 10 minutes without any problems. I think it all depends on how much space is on your memory card.
