To get that kind of a sincere reaction out of Rickles speaks volumes about Bruce Baum's talent. Even the placement of the jokes is brilliant. He didn't hit us over the head with Babyman right away -- He built it up, so that by the time he says "what about us NORMAL people?" you're ready to wet your pants from laughing so hard.
Bruce Baum's been kicking around in stand up for like 30 years. He was the only comedian to appear on the 1979 and 1997 versions of Make me Laugh. He was on Super Password as a celebrity the week the contestant won $60K and turned out to be running from the law. He also appeared on Match Game 1990 as a celeb. Whether his resemblances to David Crosby have helped him is unknown.
