  • gtgetbgngbgdbsgdbdgzbzdf

  • my gramma has these as pets, they are so cute as worms and when they turn into moths, pity that so many get killed for this

  • wow! thats cool! the one the woman just stretched was that silk worms?!

  • lol? there are a lot of coocons... and they only need to preserve 10% and one thing more... only 30% of the coocons can survive....

  • u kill them?! MOTHER NATURE?!ue ruining our earth.let the silkworms go

  • Beautiful, I love silk.

  • It's the same with lobsters & crabs - boiling them alive. The point is, it's cruel.

  • THAT'S AWESOME.

  • Matarem os pobres animais fodase vaiam po caralho

  • INCREDIBLE!!

  • These are the doubles: two silkworms in one cocoon, one male one female, it is very hard to find the single thread so you need to boil, kill and remove them in order to get the silk. The silk is very hard so it is used to make bedsheets, pillow, etc. You can not be cmplaining unless you are a vegan...

  • wow...... i seriously did not know that silk came from unhatched little maggots :P i thought it was a fucking plant! didnt u? didnt everyone think that? and to think i rubbed it up against my skin in ecstasy! ewwww!

  • @leirgauk lol...ewww me too

  • damn, i could be usin them to feed my beardie

  • no worries they are cooked up and fried so that way you wont feel like you were after the silk but the juicy contents. Kind of like skinning an animal in the wild to later eat it then use its pelt

  • this is probably called hell !

  • nice........ Wut do you Xpect a speach or something xD

  • Amazing

  • if this is in beijing i think i went there a couple of years ago

  • 1 word...OMG !...X_X

  • O_O I didn't know silk are made from worms.

I thought they were made from um.. clothes..idk.

  • Yep, worms and spiders.

  • no just worms, moths.

  • You get their silk from their cocoons, idiots. You have to kill them while they are inside the cocoon because when they come out they chew a hole through the silk. So the boil it, killing it, and making it easier to obtain the silk

  • @PeanutButter3453

Approximately 3,000 silkworms die to make every pound of silk.

  • @Madeppymage good theres to many of em

  • @skater4circa940 That's fucking stupid, you can make silk without killing the worms just as easy

" the process of degumming and spinning the raw silk to produce a soft, fluffy fabric that is excellent for warmth and therapy. This degumming and spinning process allows the moth to safely emerge from the cocoon and live out the remainder of its life cycle."

And there is no justifiable reason to kill so many, they are not overpopulating the world. what the fuck is the problem?

  • @Madeppymage No justifiable reason to kill so many? Is this now a "save the larva" movement. The average moth lays 200 eggs at a shot and their lifespan averages less than a week. Wow were monsters. By the way, while your at it, save the mosquitoes and let them drain you on your next outing, since your saving all the insects and their feelings. My overall advice, grow up and get a life.

  • @shardsofsteel Lmaoo you killed it

  • @shardsofsteel i say they just eat it

  • @Madeppymage well when the moth emerges, they dissolve the silk. so instead of unraveled one silk strand hundreds of miles long, you simply get thousands of small, useless silk strands. I tried not to kill them for my science project, it's impossible.

and it's fine to let 5-10 live because they lay an incredible amount of eggs!

    so its all good ;)

  • i just found out today in my homec class tht silk comes from worms

  • ouuww:P

  • i am stupid i never knew silk came from worms, i thought it came from plants.. poor worms

  • wow thats pretty kewl

  • Very beautiful. Theres no surprise seeing why the Romans were obsessed with Chinese silk :]

  • so sad the silk worms inside the pupa were all killed .

  • Yeah, I think so too. Why do we have to kill them? Why not wait till they hatch, then use the silk?

  • because the silkworm uses chemicals to get out of the pupa and the thread is cut cut so you only get small pieces of thread

  • Don't know the exact reason, but they must have a good one because if they could, I'm sure they would let them lay their eggs and die themselves.

  • @DietBroccoli Unfortunately zillions of innocent sleeping creatures are killed just for clothes..isnt cotton / other options better?

  • @SmaranM I EAT COW YOU HAPPY NOW

  • @CherThinksPink : God is watching us, God is watching you! remember that song?

  • @SmaranM what the hell.. sorry my brother hacked onto my account. lol bye

  • @CherThinksPink ..lol its ok!
