Seriously, that was like, the best Gimp tutorial I've ever seen. I've been searching for information on how to do this, and you just explained everything I needed and more. Thank you so much! My life has just been made a lot easier!
As a professional artist, may I compliment your taking time to explain copyright etiquette? Many people really need only to understand. Excellent, as always.
Really good tutorial... For some reason once I'm done filling the selection and all that, the edges look really jagged, and they're kind of discolored (almost greenish). What is this?
This was worth watching. I learned what an SVG file is... however I'm not really sure what I would need other peoples SVG files for. -However, I see it as being useful on a few of my own projects... Thank you, and especially thanks for the reminder of respecting other ppls wishes of how their work is being used!
I'm becoming a fan of your tutorials, I even have them on my own social network site for my members, they are so helpful and you make them so easy to follow, cheers.
This was great, you're right at my newbie level. I followed along with you, but my finished image has noticeably rough edges (badly antialiased?). I can't seem to affect the selection tool by setting "feathered edges" before using "path to selection" and I haven't figured anything out in the "bucket fill" options to help either.
your vids are the only reason why i´am using gimp again. It drove me almost crazy, because its so complicated to work with, when you´re a newbie, who never worked with such a program before. You are doing a great job, please keep it up;).

Really good and I'm starting to appreciate gimp...
I wonder if it's possible to move one of the inner circles to one side within the outer one AFTER having coloured it...
Please let us know.
Many thanks!

I love your videos. Very informative. I also love your accent. > _ >;
btw, Inkscape saves files in the SVG file format.
pbsallad 3 years ago 4
Yeah SVG is kinda the open, industry standard, but some programs use proprietary formats (such as photoshop) that Gimp can't read.
And thanks for the compliments!
