  • Seriously, that was like, the best Gimp tutorial I've ever seen. I've been searching for information on how to do this, and you just explained everything I needed and more. Thank you so much! My life has just been made a lot easier!

  • "hums the eastenders theme"

  • Thanks.

  • What a fantastic idea! Thank you!

  • As a professional artist, may I compliment your taking time to explain copyright etiquette? Many people really need only to understand. Excellent, as always.

  • A NATURAL INSTRUCTOR, THANKS

  • Thanks so much. So easy to understand and very helpful. Much appreciated

  • Ahh nevermind.... it was still showing the path.

  • Really good tutorial... For some reason once I'm done filling the selection and all that, the edges look really jagged, and they're kind of discolored (almost greenish). What is this?

  • the paths series was very useful. nicely done. thank you. greetings from cluj-napoca, romania

  • Really good and I'm starting to appreciate gimp...

I wonder if it's possible to move one of the inner circles to one side within the outer one AFTER having coloured it...

    Please let us know.

    Many thanks!

  • An excellent tutorial. Detailed and very useful, especially for Gimp newbies. Thanks a lot!

    thanks a lot !!

  • This was worth watching. I learned what an SVG file is... however I'm not really sure what I would need other peoples SVG files for. -However, I see it as being useful on a few of my own projects... Thank you, and especially thanks for the reminder of respecting other ppls wishes of how their work is being used!

  • thx for the tutorial :D

  • I love your videos. Very informative. I also love your accent. > _ >;

btw, Inkscape saves files in the SVG file format.

  • Yeah SVG is kinda the open, industry standard, but some programs use proprietary formats (such as photoshop) that Gimp can't read.

    And thanks for the compliments!

  • i have only just started making gimp vectors and using paths and this has made a vast improvment to my gimp skills thanks you so much :)

  • hmmmm

isnt dat Ichimaru from bleach up there in the begging?

    :D

  • I love your videos.

    I'm learning everything from them.

  • can i change a bitmap image to jpeg? how? pls help me. coz i cant upload pictures on a social networking site. somebody pls. help me.

  • 1. Open the bmp file in the Gimp

    2. Click File -> Save As...

    3. Re-save the file as a JPEG.

  • This was great, you're right at my newbie level. I followed along with you, but my finished image has noticeably rough edges (badly antialiased?). I can't seem to affect the selection tool by setting "feathered edges" before using "path to selection" and I haven't figured anything out in the "bucket fill" options to help either.

  • nice from a graphics newbie.

  • Simply nice, and to be honest even if the topic is boring I always learn something useful from yours tutorials, and I agree keep it up.

  • Thanks! Another example of fine commentship - Gimp tutorials must attract a higher class of YouTuber!

    :)

  • your vids are the only reason why i´am using gimp again. It drove me almost crazy, because its so complicated to work with, when you´re a newbie, who never worked with such a program before. You are doing a great job, please keep it up;).

  • Thank you for your kind words and encouragement.

  • very good... as always, ive watched every one of your videos. U ROCK!!

  • Cheers! I'm glad the excrutiating detail into the paths tool isn't boring you to tears as I was afraid might happen!

  • lol. No its not boring. Youve helped me alot.
