@backwoods4life what bone? rib? shoulder? spine? in almost any case the bloodrunner would be diverted. Atom's and gators are where it's at for me. heavy ass arrows for anything because that's what will crush a bone even if you have a rage or bloodrunner(which rust but are tough as shit besides that). gator is made by basspro 2 in cut, pivoting blades almost identical to the rage body.
@TheBrowninghunter wtf! NO!!! don't even try it. not even the 40ke. you need a first cut or thunderhead. use as heavy of arrows as you bow can shoot right. It would if you had a 30in omen @ 50 so it depends on the arrow weight and momentum/speed if your a 28in or lower I wouldn't even try it. I didn't get a full arrow passthrough on a doe today using the redhead gator 2in expandable with a 29in carbon matrix@72 with 534gr piledrivers @274fps
@OutdoorsLifeNC bring extra rubber bands and shoot allot of ft lbs. Look at tnt doekill to see a 2in cut broadhead 500gr arrow 90ft lb setup vs a doe's spine.... it won but broke into 4 pieces. rage from a groundblind muzzy from the air my friend
@hoytbonecollector keep em oiled and watch for signs of rust... that's what happened to my 2 blades but I got them woring again. I still like the original muzzy 3 the 90gr 4 atoms, the tnt. The atom is my favorite right now. lemme know if the 3's work out good
Good test for killing bottles. It says nothing about how the effect is on bone and flesh.
Neither closed respiratory system when you use open bottles. Fun shooting though, just don´t spinn test on concrete if you need a sharp point. Make a tester out of 4 ball bearings.
i have a new idea with targets: making a solid target with wax from used candles moistered with sand( 50%sand 50% wax) , when i will realise it i will make a video :)
@nitrogeb you know the main issue with that is weight, and your going to break arrows and wax cracks. I don't want to kill dreams though because invention is necessity. I hope it works out for you
@RyanRZN70 my buddy shot an elk with a 93ft lb kinetic energy monster with a 500+gr arrow with a rage, it hit the shoulder, the rage fragmented and the arrow kept going through the lungs because of the inertia and the rage was effectively turned into a small game head because it was going through split, the razors weren't forward. the xforce above was 105ft lbs with a 585-600 gr arrow. who are you to say a bow with those charicteristics wouldn't work? troll somewhere else
this isnt a realistic test, when you shoot those bottles you have air escaping at the top therefore letting more water out, when you shoot an animal that doesnt happen cuz there is no air escaping!
@jaykaybros A mouth is a air hole above the lungs letting air excape and when you shoot an animal blood comes out the mouth as well as lungs if hit properly. Thanks for being an idiot
I don't know if a test like this is legit. If you think about it, the sharper the blade the smaller cut it's going to make therefore less water coming out. The duller the blade the bigger the hole so more water! When you're cutting through veins you want as clean a cut as you can get, otherwise they will not bleed as well!
@cooksjc8 yea, but look at the view count on this vs. me killing a deer with an atom or the doe I killed with my recurve with the first cut. People like rediculous stuff... it's youtube. I think any cut through a vein is a cut vein clean or ripped off. It's a hunter's responsibility to sharpen blades surely. a good 4 blade that should have been in here is innerlocks because they're not hampered by an all aluminum ferrule.
@jordyd19 Thank God i didnt get the blood runners i was going to get them last year but i saw some vids and reveiws and i heard they bend easily so GO RAGE!!!
@mirracoNo7 didnt bend on me at all they wernt flight stable at high velocity but only spitfires gators tnt n the atom is the best for very fast setups. never bent one though n i was flinging blood runners along gravel trying to cut rabbits in half at long range
The rage clearly did the most damage. Clearly.. I shot a 350lbs plus pig with the eager 3 blade and got a complete pass threw and a blood trail a blind man could follow. Pig ran about 15-20 yards and dropped dead. Bowtech destroyer.
@shanstershane 30.5in draw 80lb roughly.... it was as much as 86 but it calmed down a bit. it's a 2008xforce dream season. My friend has weights all over it and the cams' rolled in and the top cam a little canted but it shoots like a dream how he has it set. The guys I shoot with have the most tweaked bows as far as tuning and stuff I've seen.
@PAOUTDOORSTV yea, I do like muzzy's the mx4 I had a spin problem with 1 out of the 6 then found out it was 1 out of 3. I don't like the ferrule of that thing at all. I used the atom and tnt this year and that was it for broadheads. The atom works real good for penetration and bone breaking the ferrule even in the aluminum can't be beat. Best thing is I can shoot them super fast without wind planing
@jordyd19 yeah i love muzzy their the best broadheads i ever shot i like the fuze cybex 100 as well ive never shot the attom broadheads but they look awsome i watched a video on here a guy was in africa with the attom and did a penitration test and the arrow was burried to the fletchins
@PAOUTDOORSTV i've got a killacam video with the atom called "atom tipped piledriver" I like how they work when the magazines dont' say that they'll work... ya know?
@ShawnAdvice thanks man, there's a head I wish I included in this thing. The problem with these bottles esp the big one is that it doesn't ripple the way flesh does and the way the tnt makes such gigantic entry holes is by having the point push far in the flesh before the 2 blades behind it cut making it a larger then 2 in hole. I have a vid of the tnt or a few being shot 1 with the blades not held in place with anything and it was dead nuts bc the blades are pushed back by the wind
@hunter4life888 YEA, out of this test it was but it's has the worst durability of the 3. Check out tnt broadheads, i started a facebook group that's pretty strong. Titanium gator, pivoting blades, bigger entry holes then rage. Better tip then ragte. Check it out. I should have a mess of new vids on accessories and mathews bows the one's nobody's seen in action
@backyardhunter99 what's he shooting 1000gr arrows? 1200 doubled up carbons arrow in arrow? that's stupid slow. a 29in switch back shoots that fast with 550gr arrows at 70. your dad's a beast if he can pull that back with ease. the hump at 73lbs was more for me then my xlr8 at 82-85lbs but that draw is 30.5
@soggytoast89 me, i have a tackle box of broadheads. The guys from broadhead talk do to. The rage I can definitely say is the biggest pain in the ass to still-hunt with, the rage and bloodrunnder aren't good for straight down shots either. And the bloodrunner is great at rusting
@BowHunt1229 i just don't like how they open up so easily in the quiver if they touch a stick. Plus when they open their locked in place. I blasted a doe with this tnt which is the old gator but titanium those blades pivot. Lost the friggin arrow but huge hole, better flight then rage etc. shockwave prooved itself this weekend as well with a bigger middle diameter hole then I've seen with the spitfires. discount expandable....
@golfer15963 what are you thinking dude? what's the best place to hit one of these bottles to kill it faster? I think I'm going to disallow any future comments from you until you get your stuff together
@golfer15963 sorry i was just saying that every broadhead is good as long as you have the right shot placement.... its just that alot of broadhead bashing i hear from people are usualy because they made a bad shot and blame the head rather themselves..... your video cracked me up, amazing how fast the rage made the water drain but like i said its about shot placement more than which head is best
@golfer15963 yea shot placement on a deer is the most important the rage did crack a different part of the jug then the bloodrunner did which sucks it still would have won. There's nothing to do when you want to reshoot the bloodrunner. At high speeds though the rage can open up. I've seen an expandable open up in mid air when shot from a tac 15 x-bow. Missed it's target by over 6 feet. that's why Im checking out the atom
those 555gr arrows out of the xlr8 aren't friendly with any of these but the best flier out of these 3 was the mx4. All kinds of problems with rage and the bloodrunner at 307fps or 310fps. The dream season likes the 4 blades and the monster 7 and my xlr8 like the 3 blade muzzy's and g5 montecs
@niggahigganum2 thanks brother! I was partial to the bloodrunner and mx4 if you couldn't tell but I ended up showing off the RAGE. I figure the opposing cutting razor head really does wonders for that entry and exit holes completely punching a big hole all the way around even with a 2 blade
@hunterknapp16 I know dude and I had beef with the rage from last year, but it was fully open on impact, more water came out of the top. More energy was transfered to that jug, no doubt.
