There wasn't a attached mount. I was able to attach the camera to a very thin ruler which slid under about 1/4" of some trim moulding on two even sides of the ceiling. The camera was stable but easily removed.
The video quality does suck. The FRS rate is wrong.
The plane will continue to fly if you are too high and too fast. It appears that the mains are down within a few hundred feet of the touchdown bars on a 8000' runway. I don't think that is possible if the plane is too high and too fast.
The video appears to have been sped up. Also, the angle of the camer above the pilots head, facing down to capture the instruments, gives the illusion of being higher altitude than is factual. That combines with the playback speed being altered, makes it look worse that it was.

I listen to the video again and did not get the sense that the VNY airspace was busy. You are making an inference that is not backed up by the radio traffic on this video.
If you want busy ATC, then listen to my practice ILS at night into 16R.
My inference is not based upon the radio traffic on this video. It is based on 2 things. 1)The fact that VNY has the highest number of operations on average per day than any other GA airport in the world. 2) My personal experience as a Comm. Pilot, ASEL/AMEL, & Instrument rated says it doesn't matter if you are landing in congested airspace or not. I frown upon having the distraction of music. Landing is a crucial phase, and I'd rather have my ears in tune to the engine than to a song.
Please 'frown' somewhere else. The video does not reflect Comm operations. My plane, my home airport, my experience and judgement with my plane and my responsibilities in my home airspace.
I believe I have more situational awareness, engine monitoring, and available safety features at my fingertips in this a/c than most of the pre 80's beer cans flying above us everyday. My decision to incur higher cost op expenses and use modern available tools helps to mitigate your concern.
I'm not saying your flying has to reflect Comm operations, but rather reflect safe operations. So, I've stated my opinion, and you've stated yours. You could make the argument that the music does not affect your approach and landing, but I could make the STRONGER argument that by not playing music you are eliminating the possibility that it will EVER affect the landing. Take some constructive criticism every once in a while, even if you intend to not implement any changes in your flying habits.

Army helicopter pilots listen to music on the fox mike while LEARNING terrain flight ops. I think this guy has the right to decide for himself if he is comfortable listening to some music that clearly cuts out for any radio call or system audio while landing at his home airport in his own aircraft.
In the Cirrus, their are several audible cues given automatically by the airplane. These cues include the "500" callout that indicates 500' AGL, Terrain, Sink Rate, etc. I fly an SR-20 out of KVNY and i'll tell you that electronically speaking, it's as close to flying an airline as I have seen on a GA aircraft.

YMMV.
I listen to the video again and did not get the sense that the VNY airspace was busy. You are making an inference that is not backed up by the radio traffic on this video.
If you want busy ATC, then listen to my practice ILS at night into 16R.

My inference is not based upon the radio traffic on this video. It is based on 2 things. 1)The fact that VNY has the highest number of operations on average per day than any other GA airport in the world. 2) My personal experience as a Comm. Pilot, ASEL/AMEL, & Instrument rated says it doesn't matter if you are landing in congested airspace or not. I frown upon having the distraction of music. Landing is a crucial phase, and I'd rather have my ears in tune to the engine than to a song.

Please 'frown' somewhere else. The video does not reflect Comm operations. My plane, my home airport, my experience and judgement with my plane and my responsibilities in my home airspace.
I believe I have more situational awareness, engine monitoring, and available safety features at my fingertips in this a/c than most of the pre 80's beer cans flying above us everyday. My decision to incur higher cost op expenses and use modern available tools helps to mitigate your concern.

I'm not saying your flying has to reflect Comm operations, but rather reflect safe operations. So, I've stated my opinion, and you've stated yours. You could make the argument that the music does not affect your approach and landing, but I could make the STRONGER argument that by not playing music you are eliminating the possibility that it will EVER affect the landing. Take some constructive criticism every once in a while, even if you intend to not implement any changes in your flying habits.

Take my comment you aren't my CFI, DPE, mentor, or actionable FAA employee. There is no violation.
Go find endless YouTube aviation FAR violations and maneuvers and go counsel them. This may be a better use of your "frowning."
I have to wonder -- why not take your line of reasoning to its logical conclusion? If you are that worried, why not turn in your ratings & fly Southwest? It is WAY safer.
Maybe you ought to focus on Enjoying The Flying More. Don't be so caught up in your ratings.

Army helicopter pilots listen to music on the fox mike while LEARNING terrain flight ops. I think this guy has the right to decide for himself if he is comfortable listening to some music that clearly cuts out for any radio call or system audio while landing at his home airport in his own aircraft.

In the Cirrus, their are several audible cues given automatically by the airplane. These cues include the "500" callout that indicates 500' AGL, Terrain, Sink Rate, etc. I fly an SR-20 out of KVNY and i'll tell you that electronically speaking, it's as close to flying an airline as I have seen on a GA aircraft.
