As a dark skinned person, Carbon looks almost grey (sometimes blue) on my skin which is a real shame. So many other make up guru's have commented on Mac shadow's recently, which is a shame. I think Inglot and nars are the best options on the market right now for all skin tones.

MAC recently worked with their manufacturer to reformulate their eyeshadows using less pigment and more filler, so they could increase profits by cost-cutting. The powders are now harder with less color payoff. I'm not a MAC user, but as a makeup artist I would have rather had prices raised on me instead of quality lowered.

Glue gun glue doesn't work well with metal... it will pop off. Using an adhesive works better, like E-6000 craft adhesive-which is for all materials. You can find that anywhere.

If you want a good black eyeshadow in urban decays The Black Pallet they have the most AMAZING black eyeshadow ever!!!!!! its called black dog, the pallet in general is great. I would it just for the black eyeshadow.

My carbon eyeshadow is only about 1 year old and months ago I noticed that it got so dry and I barely get any color off of it now, which is really annoying. I usually like to put it over my Blacktrack gel eyeliner, but lately I just get no color. Did anyone else notice this?

@lafbrito Rubbing a little of the surface shadow off with a paper towel can help. The top of the shadows will harden when exposed to air and humidity. That happens a lot in shadow displays.

I agree with the carbon. Mine seems like it doesn't transfer as much colour as It seems to do in most tutorials. Mine is about two years old and it was like this from the beginning on. That's why I couldn't agree with most youtubers that carbon was the blackest black:) I like you in blue colours like the cardigan one. It suits you really nicely.
