@rodrigoNIN90 Well, he used the Big Muff for most of his career on just about everything, but if I recall on Mellon Collie he mostly used his rack setup.
If he did use the Big Muff on Mellon Collie, Jellybelly, Where Boys Fear to Tread, XYU, those sound like they could have been a muff. Siamese is certainly the album with the most recognizable muff sound.
@kisay69 Yeah it's for pussies. It's nothing to do with the fact that he was 12 or that they give a completely different effect, but because he's a pussy. Has anyone called you a dick before?
@orfmor i sold 3 guitars, a line 6 75 watt amp, dimebag whammy pedal, tascam 4 track recorder, exc... all for heroin. do i think that makes me cool? no.. do i feel like people could learn from my stupid mistakes? deffinatly
@orfmor You think calling him out like a dick - on a Youtube video - makes YOU cool? If I had a dollar for every time I heard someone use that phrase, I'd be a very rich guy.
What rig are U bussing that muff through man, pretty killer tone, sounds similar to my MXR Full Bore Metal, when I crank that sucker up on my HRDx it is sweeter than the lemon meringue pie I just ate and I topped it up with sweet cream. Do U think the HRDx has just a good a sound quality than a deluxe reverb, please answer asap, as I have had no reply yet
@jumpinhowlin your lucky, mine is pretty tame. i have to crank everything nearly all the way for mine to feedback. also takes a few seconds to kick in.
@SethYoda71 It's a combination of the sustain and the volume. But you'll find that even with the sustain down to nothing, it's still a bit fuzzy. But by the time the sustain knob is at about ten O'clock, you're already way past any other fuzzbox, and it's just a fuddled mess unless the tonelab is at at least two O'clock. A very volatile pedal, but fuckin' awesome, and one of the best fuzzboxes there is.
What Fuzz Pedal Should I use to play classic James Gang, preferably one that I can get from Guitar Center. In the James gang Live in Concert album he used a Sola Sound Tone Bender.
Hey! I just wanted to thank Andy and the PGS crew for the great work that you guys do! Really makes things a hella lot easier for us. And Andy you have a fan in India! :D

P.S: That sounded like a speech. Where's my award? :P
@BnHwrd It was an original Big Muff Pi, fed into the low gain input a 100watt Marshall JCM800 which had been rebiased to use KT88 valves. You can get a close approximation using a Marshall JMP-1 preamp's clean channels + the big muff PI via the effects loop..
@BnHwrd ive seen big muffs and fender blenders on corgans board but his big muff is an earlier model however most of the siamese dream tone came from the mutiple layering of guitar tracks done in the studio. So no theres not really a single pedal unfortunately, i wish as well.
this thing is great has a great tone but mine always cuts the sound when I engage it and when I turn up the volume knob past 12 it starts to feedback like a motherfucker, anybody else have that experience? anything I can do about it?
its this one better than the Tone wicker? i Really want a Big Muff, but a friend told me that i should go for the tone wicker, cus, finally its the same, just Tone and wicker settings makes the difference. its that true?
