  • Wonderful song ,,RWB

  • You can add John Stewart to those we miss...

  • Had eight KT albums as a teen-ager and always regarded Something Special as my favorite. It's the first "travelin'" song I really loved.

  • Form a different, but wonderful album, "Something Special", the only KT album with such lush arrangements

  • It is said that this song inspired Paul Simon to write" Feeling groovey"

  • Another little known but great song from the Bob, Nick John album

  • One of my faves! We miss you John.

  • Simply wonderful...

  • Wonderful song from Fall of 1962 thanks for posting.

  • Wonderful! We really miss you, Nick!

  • We still do miss you Nick! This is beautiful, and one I had not heard before!

  • We still do miss you Nick!

  • Must say this is my first time to hear this. I love the classics "Tom Dooley", etc. I love the orchestration of this. John's era in the group, IMO. were magic.

  • In response to the question, the song was released on 9/24/1962, was written by John Stewart, and reached #97 on the pop charts.

  • This is probably the most beautiful song that the Trio ever sang. The orchestration is spectacular, Nick's lead is superb, and the banjo riff is out of this world. One More Town was Nick's father's favorite Trio song.

  • @zoryfox "Banjo" riff? Are you sure?

  • Do we know what year this song was released?

  • July, 1962. It was on the "Something Special" album. I believe this is the only album the Trio did with an orchestra backing them up.

  • The kingston Trio ARE ear-replaceable, period....Wonderfull music and memories.

    Thank You............

  • it's the cutest song ever.

  • Love ya Nick. Hope you and John are singing in the heavenly choir making good music for all the folks there.

  • I listen to this song a lot, and my kids make fun of me and call it dad's "trail mix song".

  • This is a great Trio song that does not get as much play as it should. Great stuff!

  • RIP Nick Reynolds (1933-2008). We all gonna miss you!
