This is probably the most beautiful song that the Trio ever sang. The orchestration is spectacular, Nick's lead is superb, and the banjo riff is out of this world. One More Town was Nick's father's favorite Trio song.

Had eight KT albums as a teen-ager and always regarded Something Special as my favorite. It's the first "travelin'" song I really loved.

In response to the question, the song was released on 9/24/1962, was written by John Stewart, and reached #97 on the pop charts.

July, 1962. It was on the "Something Special" album. I believe this is the only album the Trio did with an orchestra backing them up.
