  • WELL DONE GUYS!!!!! 5 stars!!

  • no studio, no effect, that a pure sound at my ears ,. Thanks a lot guys

  • It seems that Greg Brown wrote this wonderful song fairly recently and I did not recall it from my childhood. Nevertheless, Brown did such a masterful job of capturing the depression era, it could have easily been written during those years.

  • I don't think I have heard this song since my childhood some fifty years ago. These talented "good old boys" brought tears to my eyes. My brother and I stayed in a bed and breakfast in Meridian, Mississippi, home of the Jimmy Rogers museum, but didn't have time to stop in---it's on my "bucket list" of things to do. Jimmy and his music are the heart and spirit of America!

  • 100% agree

Music in pure state, no FX to hide !!

  • reminds me of when i was a boy. on sundays granddaddy and his brothers would break out the guitars and banjos and the playing would go for a while. the corn liquor would be available for the adults and maybe i would get a sip to.

  • Great tribute to the old breakman

  • Do I hear a banjo clunker there in the beginning? Rest of the song sounds great.

  • What do you mean, "his" best song? how about giving credit to the writer of the song, the great Greg Brown?

  • Let me revise that! It's the song his friends think he sings well, and they like him to sing it often, because it is a great song. Thanks for the comment, my grammer may need a little touch up, and thank you Greg Brown for that great song!

  • I agree the harmonies are great. Sweet sounding and mournful bluegrass song. Nice job.

  • More great harmony. What a treat!
