    but it's really cool

  • I've seen this guy and bought his CD

  • @NerdWhoVlogs Holy Shit me too.

  • I actually saw this guy in real life and was so amazed i gave all my change and bought his CD! Which also features his 3 brothers with their awesome instruments!

  • HIs name is Guo Yi

  • I saw this... have been surfing all day to find it again, I've been dying to hear it, I now feel complete :3

  • Brilliant performance! Thanks

  • I am so glad & proud that 10,045 persons have checked out this video in 2 years since I have posted this. I really appreciate this work of art. Thanks to everybody. Remember one thing, every being can leave you some time or another in life but music will NEVER leave your company. Cheers - Ray

  • 3,000 year old traditional Chinese elevator music.

  • In Cantonese, the name of this instrument is called "sang."

  • god bless you!

  • I actually was in Covent Garden 2 days ago and he was there ! hahaha

Playing the same piece of music and wearing the same jacket :P

But this is a very happy instrument... I spend at least 30min listening him, it relaxes me a lot !

  • i saw him!!! he was amazing!

  • He seems like Juanito Valderrama, a Spanish flamingo singer. BRAVE!

  • I saw him at this place, if I go back here, I buy his CD !

  • This video was taken 8th July 2009. This Musician is a regular feature for sometime now. Great sight & sound from back in time. Cheers folks. n.ray

  • @nrayc The church organ developed from the hydraulis of 2,300 years ago, which developed from the panpipes, not the sheng.

Why do you make up these bare-faced lies?

  • @menglongmorris Without doing the research, I would think it fairly obvious that the oldest wind instrument was a simple flute, followed by the pan flute, not a reed instrument, which is far more complicated to construct. However, I do not think this man is lying. He just doesn't know better.

  • Lol, I saw this guy on Wikipedia today before I saw this.

  • wooowww...i saw this man in London, Covent Garden yesterday afternoon...he was brilliant...i really liked his music...so relaxing...while you're listening you forget all your troubles and problems, and the world just seems so perfect :)

  • I was there 2 days back and he does that beautiful! People who doesn't give him money don't know what real music is.

  • This guy is amazing, the only shame is the music he is playing isn't on the CD which he sells. the cd consists of him playing in the Peking Brothers band, still excellent chill music.

  • THE MUSIC I PALY IS CHINESE

    OK?

  • Wow...this guy (Guo Yi ) is a bit of an internet phenomenon. If you search "Sheng" in Wikipedia....there's a picture of him!!

  • I saw that guy when I was on a vacation in London last week. It was really beautifull!! It was the second time I saw him, but I didn't may buy an CD :(

  • i saw him last tuesday there

  • beautiful.

  • when do you filmed this cause i was in london this week and ive seen this guy at the same place playing the same song

  • I want a CD.... :O

  • He does sell a CD for £10 which I bought today! :D

  • Well, not 'a' CD, he sell CDs! <3

  • Thank you nrayc for the post and ismuks for the info. I saw him a couple of years ago in Covent Garden and wished I had bought his CD. It is such a haunting sound. Amazing. Does anyone know if you can get his cd online?

  • master sheng player - Guo Yi from Peking Brothers, playing near there since the late 90s i think.
