Like many others have posted, I too was at this match in the Cotton Bowl. I remember the Saturday night match that started it all, as well. What great memories of when pro wrestling really rocked! (Now it's just sleaze and stupidity...) Thanks for the memories.

Once Gino died they should have brought Chris back using a

similar angle that Terry Taylor used when he came to WCCW

pretending to be sorry for what he had done to Adams & then

their last legs.It suked to what happen to the wrestlers & this pormotion.They could not even fill up

texas stadium or the cotton bowl.Tickets for WCCW must

The defection of Chris Adams, Ice Man, Freebirds along

with a bunch of others to the UWF is what really killed WCCW. Kerrys accident did'nt help, but had Adams & the others not left I think they would have

survived. I know they all came back later in the mid

to late 80s but by that time it was too late the WCCW craze was over.

The story behind this:

Originally, Chris Adams was suppose to go last in the barber's chair, but Gino had got cold feet at the last minute because he didn't know what he wanted for his shaving. So he settle for a mohawk, which ends up botched. You can hear David Manning tell Gino "there goes your mohawk" So they settled for the krishna look.

Chris wanted that Verne Gange do, but due to time, he didn't get it. So it was the skullett look for him.
