@kish2 I know what you mean in regard to changing the melody after the lyrics but I think this was about showing how there was a mismatch between the two. I find that applying Pat's guidance that you can adjust the melody WITH the lyric as you write :-)
I love that video because it really highlights the right way of fitting melodies to lyrics but I'm sorry to say that these choices actually killed the best notes in the melody.
The point where she used to say "hiding IN the" was the highest and most unusual and memorable part of the phrase.
Shifting the melody to fit the words didn't serve the song. She should have changed the lyrics, IMVHO.
pat was always the "master" of words. he used to have a band called featherrain.
but that was 30 years ago, ha, ha. does he still have that band, or a band he plays out with. he used to surround himself with the good lookin chicks back then and i see he has'nt changed, ha, ha.
inside or outside of that class situation he's a great guy. and smart as they come. i guess thats why he's teaching at berklee, ha, ha.

@BronsonTaalbi you're right! The closest you can get is doing some Berkleemusic courses that Pat has authored ... he sometimes is the tutor :-)
