  • Yadif: the best Linux de-interlacer!%*)$£*$^*

  • Yeah? I just used 2 different deinterlace filters in VirtualDub and got excellent results in just 10 seconds. None of this fancy stuff, you don't need to waste money to deinterlace. I don't know what makes this guy think his deinterlace filter is the best.

  • All I got was a black screen with green vertical lines. not impressed.

  • hmmmm, time for bittorrent

  • I bought a soy HD camera, after shooting couple of movies with it I tried to import the them into my lap top which has an ATI HD radeon 256 VGA card I thought it wiil be fine for the camera but i found this interlacing issue it's v. annoying and I don't no whether it is a problem from the camera or maybe the laptop or it's normal or what.!!! so please if this is normall can u show me a simple method to fix it as I spend like 1200$ for the camera.

  • It depends on the source of your video, it might be interlaced with an odd frame on top. If you can change this in whatever you are getting the source video with you should try that. There are other filters that let you change this too though.

Try the "Deinterlace - Smooth 1.1" filter

  • virtualdub is a toy program.

  • if you're an idiot. it's not a video editor it's just for producing a video and applying simple filters, but it's compression capabilities are the best provided you have the codecs installed.

  • Or get virtual dub and add the Deinterlace filter.

    and your done

  • @RadGH except rendering in virtualdub sucks

  • Yeah... for $350!
