all I wanted was RO1 with better graphics, but then tripwire delivered this painfully obvious beta build as a full game. Even with patches, which are few and far in between, much needs to be done before RO2 can be considered finished. As of right now, RO2 is terrible

havent played online but I liked Red Orchestra 2 better than DODS.

Just did a lil test on single player. Sniping isnt far but... its a CS mod when it was designed and evolved in a different engine? I thought it was okay. Controls are okay for the average player (lol). Im that picky on about getting back up from prone to crouch and all. Only 2 keys that do that and I hate it. Im use to other game "setups". It will work. Pretty sweet game in my opinion. :D

I only wish there was a non-toggle "quick-aim" key and a toggle sprint so it felt more like STALKER (only in those two regards). There'd still have to be a toggle aim key, otherwise adjusting your sights would be unnecessarily difficult. Killing Floor is the first example of a game I can think of off the top of my head that has both a toggle aim and a "quick-aim" (not to be confused with quick-scope though it's sort of the same principle in how you work the keys).

Also Arma series is not simulation, it's more realistic than all other shooters, but not sim yet.

I play Arma1+2 very much, i like but don't play RO1+2, i don't like and never play COD+BF.

This is a bad looking video (as most Tube game videos).. Graphics in real game are considerably better. I'd say it is the best looking WW2 shooter as far as i remember, way better than dull and old Call Of Duty graphics. By absolute standards, RO2 graphics are very decent for a 2011 game, all magazines and sites reviews said that.

I remember playing the Return To Castle Wolfenstein Multiplayer (on PC) and it being major fun, then World At War came out and thought maybe WW2 games can't get any better (this coming from somebody who hasn't played the original Red-O) but now that I see this I'm glad, however a bit sad since I'm not sure if this will be strictly PC (my computer was outdated yeeears ago) since I'm on PS3 now....

I just want to say that the RO mod from years ago is my most happy memory of PC gaming. That and XMP for U2 which was also great fun. Sadly the appeal of these games isn't what it used to be. I guess what makes video games fun is the sense of immersion from hours of playing at a stretch. Since there are no mmo elements present in RO:HOS I don't see myself playing it for hours and hours. However the battlefield footage looks great and the interactive tanking might be a first for MP vehicles.

@CK2033 around 7000 on average are online. There are plenty of active servers. Best thing to do mate (as I also ask this question with games) is just go on the Server option within Steam View and look up the servers for RO2 then you get a good idea mate.
