All T-Rex's are too much modern sounding to me. I like old good Japan DS, SD, OD and TS, they have much more soul and feeling. No one of modern replicas sounds so good as vintage originals for classic blues, rock, countryrock etc. in my opinion.
@countrymetalman the thing is the modern ones that replicate the vintage ones do just that, the insides are identical. and when u buy an expensive handwired clone the parts used are so much like the vintage ones if not better, I know tubes are not as good as the old ones as the old ones were built to last, but with things like resisters and tone caps, good modern ones sound great
hello, what are the gain settings on the dr.swamp please?...it seems that the 2nd channel from left to right is at MAX gain, meanwhile the 1st from left it's at 11 o'clock...am I right? and can both channel be used together?
I want to buy the Mudhoney 2 or Dr Swamp and was wandering which one would be best to replicate the vintage Pro Co Rat 2 pedal??? Before anyone tells me just buy a Rat pedal then! All Pro Co stuff is made in China now and I dont want to buy anything thats crap quality! Can anyone help??????????
i myself go with mudhoney as i do more bluesrock comp guitar than neosoloing.. otherwise i feel they would be completing with eachother in a bandsituation.. if only one guitar i still feel that mudhoney does it all..
@Bluesburst BB, you've now given me GAS for a P90 equipped plank - something I've not owned for yonks. Feel free to bring yours over anytime to audition above boxes o' fun or wait for until I get mine. I'm going to contact Music Zoo tomorrow and have a Charvel built. With P90's.
@Burgerman666 , I might just take you up on that soon :-)
How can you not have a P90 git??? P90's are nectar from the gods!!! I am so far from talented, I just love slammin' down blues-rock power chords in a fairly basic manner but it actually is a great way to sort out a great "Fuzzdrive" tone as anything too muddy just dies.
I'd really like to hear more demos of equipment with good basic rhythm work for the above reasons and for those of us who are untalented but love noodling at home.
@Burgerman666 Damn! You have that kind of pull? I need something with P-90's also. Whadda ya say (elbow to the rib), maybe you can have them make two? : )
@willievega Everyone has that kind of pull. For a price. Nothing's for free.. I did end up getting a Charvel from them - Koa H/H. Can't pick it up until I'm in the US in January, though. Next on the list is something with P90's..
