  • I love this beat

  • No skills here...just having fun and messing around.Totally informal. As you can see,I'm not in time but the LM-1 quantise is set to 1/16 and at this slow tempo, it's still very agressive. No matter what I do,like it or not, the LM-1 plays a beat unlike any other drum machine.

  • It is forgotten skills, what you are doings is valuable, not so many could anymore, many memories for the LM1 you are using!

  • Sick

  • Hey Carl! Aren't you glad we were never in an 80's band? Oh, that's right... we were.....

  • This beat sucks!

  • It's just huge! This machine is a monster ! Super demo but too short !snif snif !

    Thanks for that !

  • you play with no beat, still the machine does it for you

  • YOu can totally hear this machine has a great feel.

  • linndrum's clap would never get old for me

  • I believe genesis used this for their 1983 album "genesis"

  • must have of the 80s

  • Prince is turning over in his.......well, he ain't dead, but if he was he'd be turnin' over in his purple grave. Man! The beat started out nice, but, well...

THIS IS THE DRUM MACHINE OF DRUM MACHINES PEOPLE. I owned an LM-2 at one point but could never get it ot sound as juicy and rich and fat as the LM-1.

  • Thanks Gary-Go play with your fruity loops

  • You suck at creating beats but cool video. Thats a post-manufacturing mod, with the tuners moved or also added to the front top there. Thats a cool mod. You can do all kinds of other custom stuff as well. Bruce is the man.

  • This video is a hidden gem in the YouTube cave

  • The one and only LM-1! Thanks for the video.

  • If you're going to own at least one piece of kit in your lifetime, then get one of these. Poetry in motion...

  • great video, do you know a tech who can perform the tuning mod ?

I guess this lm-1 is one of the revision 2 early batch (start button is bigger than on mine for example which is a revision 2 later batch)

  • @isham16

Thank you!..Early seriesl 2...yea that would make sense alright..If you want the mod.Search FORAT ELECTRONICS in Los Angeles.Ask for Bruce. Not cheap.

  • @carlheinz

thank you very much! yes Bruce is the linn drum man (I've sent him one my lm-2 and he did a great job), just worried to make the lm-1 travel from Europe ! cheers

  • Nice video and especially nice tuning mod! What's the serial # of that unit? Lowish because of the big play button...?

An ever consider changing the tuning knobs to small aluminum Kilo's that match the original Linn?

  • @rolandsh1000

Serial is in the upper 200's

    Thank you!
