Many kudos to you guys for nailing that and was refreshing to hear GOOD music. Not only was the sound so spot-on to the BB, but the high lead voice was pitch perfect. I always wanted to sing in a group like that but I got old LOL Good stuff and the harmonies in Sloop John B would sound great by you guys Hint..Hint..Love the great sounds.
I hate to admit it, be these guys have it down pat, they did a great job. If you don't watch the video, you really can't tell that it isn't Brian, Carl, Dennis, Mike and Al.
O-M-G!!!! That was absolutely beautiful!!!!!! I'm only 24, but i looooooove me some beach boys! (and the 60's as an era) I used to love hearin this growin up as it was always played durin christmas (this and "simply having a wonderful christmas time") i always get a funny look when i say i love the BB (im a black female, grew up in Philly PA, dont surf, cant even swim LOL)...but i mean seriously... those harmonies??? You guys NAILED IT! Swore you were the BB themselves...I'M DEFINATELY A FAN!!!
Absolutely fantastic gents, well done. Beautiful harmonising! I found this video as I'm doing a cover of this song myself this year, and I'm doing all the vocal parts by myself! It will be accompanied by acoustic guitar, but nothing else.
Awesome video! Those harmonies are really tight and there's a good use of dynamic. I was wondering if you still have the music that you used to learn it. I'm planning on performing with a mens a cappella group on the 22nd and I haven't been able to find an arrangement for it. So if you could send me a copy or let me know where you got yours that would be great. Thank you.
I'm afraid not. Dennis and Carl Wilson are no longer with us, and the remaining Mike Love, Brian Wilson, Al Jardine and Bruce Johnston are either too old or too estranged to perform together. They still perform individually however.
Marvelous song and performance. I notice a slight harmonic difference from the Beach Boys version, on the second Ooooh (G#minor7): Brian Wilson sings a high G# (instead of a high F#). He does this again on the fourth Ooooh. Brian's harmonies on the fifth and sixth Ooohs (in the Coda) are a complete surprise, attesting to his genius.
This is just awesome. Well done lads, amazing job, spot on harmonies, perfect timing and you look like you are having great fun doing these. PLEASE POST MORE !!
Tony Rivers - nice to see you here, we met at the 1988 Stomp Convention with Brian Wilson and following conventions where you did great "turns". John
God! I love the Beach Boys. Im 21 and I'm from Argentina (Buenos Aires). I wish I had a picture with Brian Wilson, He's one my idols! I record songs by the Beach Boys on my pc, and I'm hours working on those amazing choirs they made, no one ever will be ever to be compared with them.
Happy Christmas - you have no idea how great to see an hear guys your age appreciating BriAN wILSON. Who are yo guys - do you have any other vids on U Tube? - by the way im 60 and have loved the Beach Boys since I was 14 in 1964. I saw Brian Wilson LIVE in November and met him after the show and had a pic taken with him. I'll send it to ya if you want.
If you could make this into another "Jersey Boys" you might have something!

The lead singer reminds me of Bob Sagat, but maybe that's just my brain playing a trick on me because of the Beach Boys on Full House.

I got in touch with The Beach Boys thanks to my dad, who named me after one of the Wilson brothers..
I hope you put up new videos soon!
