No question Adam Long is a comic genius. But in this case while the concept was his he co-wrote the book reports with Mark York who also voice directed. Adam and Mark had already been friends for many years when these were produced. York was associate producer, head writer on Universal's Casper and show running producer on two seasons of Doug. The Exec Producers of the book reports were the creator of Doug, Jim Jinkins and his partner in Jumbo Pictures David Campbell.
If anyone is interested, a few of the audios for these are now available on itunes for free. just search "Last Minute Book Reports" Also, the guy who wrote/narrates these is named Adam Long, from the Reduced Shakespeare company, which you should totally look into, He plays all the female roles.
Yeah, you know what's weird is that I got the audio from that and just used it. I love these things, I remember in the summer of '06 I'd get up early and watch them, such a fond time. Thanks, though. Do you mind if I put that comment in the video info?
Well I captured it with a screen recorder, but it was only a trial, so it didn't have any audio, but there's a podcast on iTunes with the audio of all of them, that's why the audio went funky at the end.
I can't believe Disney discontinued that dude, those vids were hilarious!!!!!! I remember watchin' them all back in the day. Thanx for lettin' me relive it!! Just as funny now as it was then! :P
You're quite welcome, I intend to (one of these days) complete all of them and upload them one of these days when I'm bored (which is what encouraged me to complete this).
If you google "last minute book reports" + disney you can find that they are secretly hidden on the site. But I've been loving these cartoons since 2000... they are AMAZING! and I'm glad they are living on!
I have full intentions to, yea I know the audio went funky, but it's because I captured it from a screen recorder that doesn't capture sound and I had to use the podcasts for the book reports, I think Disney removed these from their website, so I'm lgad I captured them when I did.
