Whenever I set all the useful buffs on the party with Rosa, I got nothing else to cast as well. All that remains just keep your party alive.

Actually, Omega Mark is harder if you have the japanese version In the english, he's easier, but he's still quite strong.

I disagree, he was loleasy. Sure a LONG fight but not a hard fight.. he was easy especially since you could just beat him up, when you're running low, run away, heal up, come back to that screen, continue fighting.. he's only difficult if you try to stay there the entire time and even then he's still not really THAT hard. I'd say Ozma is the hardest from FFIX

When you return to the moon after Fusoya leaves the party, but only (I think) if you gave him two augments.

give fusoya 1 augment (better give him two for the maximum of his augments and you'll get these:

bless: no augments or higher

omnicasting: 1 augment or more

phoenix (very useful): 2 augments or more

mostlily yes but if your talking about dif ff games in final fantasy x there is this dragon type like thing that takes a regulare player about 2hours cause i had lvl 99 on all my charecters and thene it took me a long time and alot of potions and magic healers

There is no MP Switch or Damage > MP ability.

No offense but your strat on proto seems kind of luck based. Why not give Brace to Rydia or have her defend if is she is going to be the one taking the Light of Babil shots? Brace reduces Light of Babil damage to ~2500 and defend cuts it half, instead of lucking out or spending mp on Arise.

It's not luck based, and I've improved this strategy now.

If you looked carefully, I do have Brace on Rydia, just that Proto-Babil got a Light of Babil first before she could Brace.

Using Raise on Rydia after she's been KO'd will allow Proto-Babil to always go after her with Draw Attacks active, and Protect helps reduce the damage and Brace coupled with Last Stand reduces Light of Babil's damage to around 1200 as long as she is in critical HP.

I see. Your strat is a lot like mine except I reverse Rydia and Cecil and have Edge using Hide instead of Steal:

Edge uses bless, then cry, then hide.

Kain uses focusx2

Rosa Braces with Cecil and Kain Jumps

While Kain is in the air Rydia casts. A counter will kill Rydia, Rosa and Cecil stay Braced until Kain hits. Once Kain hits, Omnicast Raise/Haste, then Rosa tops off herself and Cecil while Kain charges up again.

2x Jump + Flare/Meteor is ~280k, 1 more time and he dies. No P2 :)

ARRRRGGGHHHH i forgot to get the counter augment on first playthrough and on the scond playthrough i accidentally give it to edge. will he manage to do 80000+ damage with darkness , 4.5 focus damage? ( probably added with cry )

it is an absoulute damn that i don't give the augments on first playthrough. i don't know that giving augments would affect.

I gotta know though, the only sources of megalixers in the game are one from map completion, and from stealing off PB. Is this battle repeatable?

Also, can you run from this battle? (i.e. steal the megalixer then run)

This battle can't be escaped, and yes, this is repeatable, as I show my Megalixirs in my Geryon video.

I got the one on the map in my first playthrough so all my Megalixirs on my Perfect Game file came from Proto-Babil battles.

You only need it on 1 person, so it can be either Cecil and Rosa, though I highly don't recommend giving it to Rosa.

You're missing the point of buffing him up. This is why we have Auto-Battle, since I set it to make Cecil attack.

Get a rare Red Tail drop from a Red Dragon, and exchange the tail to the tail collector in the Adamant Grotto located southeast of Mythril, using the Hovercraft to get there, for an Onion Sword.

Hi, im new to this game, so i was wondering how you got like x3 of each augument?And why did you put the battle in auto play every once in a while?

Augments are gotten once per game, and a playthrough consists of the 1st game, then 2 New Game +-es.

There's only a few augments that can only be gotten a specific number of times, and it's impossible to get every augment on the 1st playthrough, since there's not enough for Edward and the twins.

If you see my battle commands, I can't attack using my normal commands for Kain and Cecil, so I have the auto-battle commands set to Jump and Attack respectively.

Yes, but they can't be removed/changed if they're already distributed to the character you chose for that augment.

The "Hastega" is done using the augment Omnicasting, which was equipped on Rosa.

The weapons on Cecil and Kain are both Onion Swords.

For a playthrough, it's limited to 3 games, 1 New Game, and 2 New Game + before starting over again with New Game.

A shame. I doubt ill max everything. You may say you ain't the best, but my best feat was the part where i just got fusoya and i defeated Bahamut without him getting his megaflare on me. I had to use a guide for the game, though, since im not exactly used to much of the battles. And i died not at the hands of bahamut, but at the NORMAL battles in the lair of the father. >_>

Select an empty battle command and switch it with a known ability, and you'll have more than 3 battle commands on Kain. Same goes with the other characters with empty battle commands.

You can swap the battle commands as well, along with their order.

Ah, this is the thing.

I learned this from an earlier Proto-Babil video by watashihaishi, who pointed out that Peanut Butter (my nickname for it) uses a very powerful multi-targetting attack once he's below 120000 HP, and it has a chance of healing itself for exactly 28571 HP. It also changes it's counter from Laser Barrage to Object 199. I haven't tested out what he said about the Lunar Curtain reflecting Object 199.
