  • OMG A TRAIN!!!!!!!!! SWEET!!!

  • WHOA THERE!!! Slow down!!!

  • That is a lovely whistle.

  • uuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • Why is it moving so fast? Is that the express??

  • It was a Saturday, that train had the Boonton line to itself (or at least until arrived at this point in Denville, where it merges with the Morristown line.

Interestingly enough, this was the weekend prior to the opening of the Montclair connection and the abandonment of the old Greenwood Lake line between West End and Walnut St.

  • I remember riding behind the 142 at Lincoln park. We went about 1 mile beyond Dover and returned to Lincoln Park. had to be 2002, or 2003. Amazing riding behind it at main Line speeds. Amazing wistle, and stack sounds.

  • has it ever tried out a hancock 3 chime?

  • I have no clue and 2 tell u the truth i don't really follow this steam engine that closely so im really not much help

  • does it still have that whistle?

  • yep

  • The fireman shovelling coal on top of the tender has got guts.

  • Maybe I'm wrong. I think that's a NKL Plate road 5 chime or some other 5 chime.

  • Why is there always EMD dead weight behind this engine?

  • I should mention that's a 6 chime whistle.

  • Great footage - I've never seen a smaller engine like #142 move so fast before!

  • great vid i wish i could be that close to a steam engine soon.

  • If U have watched this video, Please comment on it. I like 2 know what people think of this.

    Thanks,

    Dan
