At the end of the day, Bat For Lashes is basically Natasha Khan. I agree that the many musicians who have been involved in the making of the records and the live shows have all given something. The current live band (Sarah Jones, Charlotte Hatherley and Ben Christophers) are really amazing, but they've mostly played the part of session players and it's really Natasha baby. The band members have their own careers anyway, whether its a band or solo.

I agree this is very different to the album, and for me better. They could do with producing a live album. I love the new band. Sarah Jones has to be one of the most original drummers around at present and Charlotte Hatherley's guitar work is so beautifully subtle here, very unlike her more strident Ash and solo stuff.
