You missed the whole point. The fourth amendment says that the goverment or its officals can search your personal property without a legitament reason. I regret not doing and have for a while now. So far, everything the driver has done is perfectly legal. Therefore, so far there is not reasonable suspicion, let alone probable cause. Baring reasonable suspicion, the agents only course of action should be to take a quick glance for plain sight evidence of a crime, then let the driver proceed.
It is your right as an American citizen under the laws that are written in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights that you do not have to submit to a search and seizure of your property with out a court ordered search warrant, signed by a judge in good standing, for specifics about what and where officials will be searching and hoping to seize.

Just as a FYI. Checkpoint was charged with impeding traffic the same as steve. He fought it in court. The judge heard the cops testimony and without checkpoint even saying a word, dismissed the charge. Because he abided the law to wait untill released he did nothing wrong.
I don't see how he can do much besides plea. It looks like the officers were very careful to only charge him with petty misdemeanors, instead of the bigger crimes they thought he was guilty of.
I think he does have a case on both counts. 1) impeding traffic....that should easily be beaten. He was REQUIRED by law to remain there untill released. He was never released. 2) the other charge the cops can not say that they witnessed any crime. Thus the legal grounds for them attacking steve are not there. Cops have to witness something before they act otherwise its nothing more than heresay. They did not witness and all they have is a unfounded allegation which means nothing.

When I first heard about what happened to Anderson, I was concerned, and looked into this further. After seeing his preaching on youtube, I can see why he was considered a danger to law inforcement, and not allowed to travel, until his charges were dismissed. I realize that Old testament Law allows for justice (an eye for an eye, etc.) but Christians are to be held to higher standards. You missed the whole point. The fourth amendment says that the goverment or its officals can search your personal property without a legitament reason. So far, everything the driver has done is perfectly legal. Therefore, so far there is not reasonable suspicion, let alone probable cause. Baring reasonable suspicion, the agents only course of action should be to take a quick glance for plain sight evidence of a crime, then let the driver proceed.

The simplest answer, according to the data we have here, is that the dog did not alert.

Just as a FYI. Checkpoint was charged with impeding traffic the same as steve. He fought it in court. The judge heard the cops testimony and without checkpoint even saying a word, dismissed the charge. Because he abided the law to wait untill released he did nothing wrong.

I think he does have a case on both counts. 1) impeding traffic....that should easily be beaten. He was REQUIRED by law to remain there untill released. He was never released. 2) the other charge the cops can not say that they witnessed any crime. Thus the legal grounds for them attacking steve are not there. Cops have to witness something before they act otherwise its nothing more than heresay. They did not witness and all they have is a unfounded allegation which means nothing.
