Sounds like this race didn't have any pacenotes. Otherwise he wouldn't have slowed down to those slight flat turns or put the car into powerslide that apparently caused the accident.

Im kind of a new fan of rally. could someone explain why block is in this old school ford and not his wrx or fiesta? Is it a special type of event or something?

What are you guys even talking about. This crash had nothing to do with driver error! There was a mechanical problem with the car that caused the small excursion. By the sound of it from the video it sounded like the wheel rubbing the bodywork.
Have a listen. . . .. he definatly wouldnt be on the brakes at this point of the corner anyhow 100% throttle in a Mk2.

yawns, ken block is the hannah montana of rally racing. how the fuck to you let a car glide over to a ditch like that with out trying to save it, he didn't even know what to do to save it.
i'll say whatever i want, i touge, touge is far more dangerious than rally, our course isn't blocked off to through traffic and if i crash i can't get to work anymore. thats balls, not self sponsoring your way into whatever car you want.

I don't dispute he is a better driver then probably all of us, if you were given a car without having to pay for its upkeep and given a rally track, circuit what have you, of course you'd be better then your average driver and able to be competitive. But those that rate him in the very best you have no fucking idea, go to finland and watch even there local rallies, most of them are young kids and they shit all over this bloke
