I have been into paleo ever since I was five, I have studied it and gone on real digs with paleontologists. This looks exactly like one of the fossils we uncovered. I don't see how 5 people can't like this extreme detail. Cleary time was put into this. I give this a 10/5. Bravo!

@Thisistheplcetobe They went extinct at the end of the Permian period, 251 million years ago, basically just a bit before the first dinosaurs started to appear. Actually 90% of all species on Earth disappeared then.

1) She might just be confused, since they both are arthropods and somebody who doesn't know anything about them could simply be calling a trilobite a beetle.

2) There actually is a type of beetle alive today called the Trilobite beetle. It's not related at all to real Trilobites, but looks kind of similar, hence the name. It lives in the jungles of the huge Pacific island of Borneo.
