very nice, Gary, but I was wondering for a moment if you were going to use a brush at all! You had most of that canvas covered without one brush stroke!
Hi... Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. This one was a full color experiment with the papertowel technique used in the Bob Ross demos earlier this year. The "red" box is actually David's red ballcap as he was walking up behind her while I was shooting her segment, also...
MY BAD, her name is actually "Donna"... (sorry Donna). Again thanks for commenting!! Stay Creative!!!
I am so impressed with your skill! You bring amazing life and color to every work and make it look so effortless. I am a beginner and have learned so much by watching you. I'd love to take a class from you. Thank you for taking the time to post your videos so we can all watch you work.
Thanks for the wonderful comment. It's ggod to hear that my videos have helped you, THAT is my purpose in putting them on YouTube. They are not descriptive, but I think you can get an idea of my approach to painting, drawing, etc., also, it's fun to document our "paintouts" for the First Coast Plein Air Painters, as it shows what others are doing as well. THANKS FOR WATCH... STAY CREATIVE!!!
tHANK YOU, i WISH YOU COULD HAVE BEEN THERE ALSO... YOU ARE A GREAT ARTIST AND I CAN JUST IMAGINE YOU DRAWING ANY ONE (OR MORE) OF THE MULTITUDE OF SCENES WITH BOTH HANDS (OR FEET!!) YOU WOULD HAVE PRODUCED SEVERAL WORKS TO OUR ONE... FOR SURE! IT REALLY WOULD BE NICE SOMEDAY FOR ALL THE YOUTUBE ARTISTS TO ASSEMBLE SOMEWHERE FOR A "GRAND PAINTOUT"! WHAT FUN... HEY... MAYBE THAT'S THE NEXT GREAT "MISSION" ON YOUTUBE!!! THANKS FOR WATCHING!
Thank you.... been repairing my laptop, so haven't been up on youtube much.... hotrodding the old laptop as well, so now it can outperform the current models. It now allows me to produce a youtube video in 1/3 the time. THANKS FOR WATCHING!
Hey Gary! Catching up as things have been quite busy for me. I really envy you being in this group of artists, it's something I really wish I could find in my area.
I loved the way the light moved across you as you developed the painting. What a lovely place. WELL DONE!!
Thanks!! This was Sunday afternnon, May 4, 2008 along the St. Johns River just northwest of the city, on the point where the river turns towards the Atlantic Ocean. Wish you could have been there.
Hey this was pretty cool Gary, all the Artists getting together - but from what I could tell, (what do I know?) some of the paintings didn't quite look like what they were facing???
YOURS on the other hand looks like a mirror/reflection...LOL 5*****
Thanks for watching! many of the FCPAP artists paint at an angle to their view, and to get their view. I would have to disturb them and stand where they are to show their scenes on video. I tried some over the shoulder shots, but some areas we were painting in were narrow, which spread us out quite a bit. On my painting, I could stand there and show you MY view, that's probably the difference you mentioned, as ALL the paintings turned out great and well executed. Thanks again for watching!!
Thanks... these are fun to do, and shows what other artists in my area are doing. I would like to one day time-lapse us all in a row painting. THANKS FOR WATCHING
Nature best art work ever !
