I think this rant is important. However it may be worth pointing out that a lot of anorexic girls don't come from body dysmorphia, or a false sense of beauty. A lot of eating disorders come from anxiety disorders.
@CUPCAKEMONSTER99 Irrespective of whether they "should not be", they do - don't even pretend that teens don't watch porn. And it's making young, impressionable teenagers judge themselves based on this.
Btw every person has their own perseption of beauty and how to look beautiful if they want to be skinny let them loose weight or if they want muscules let work out who are u to judge them if they aren't wat u call beautiful

Hercules? I thought the image guys had to compete against weren't models and body builders but dudes in the music and movie industry. I can't name a single male model or body builder that doesn't make me feel like shit the way Matt Damon, Jason Mraz, Michael Phelps or Johnny Depp would.
Well I met plenty of guys in High School and even now in College who spend most of their free time in the gym in order to attract a girl.
Also I met a guy who thought something was mentally and physically wrong with him because he wasn't attracted to and didn't get a boner from looking at the girl in the school with the biggest breasts.
There is nothing wrong with the guy. Hell, I don't find breasts to be that big of a deal. As far as i'm concerned, there's only one thing thats important for a girl to have. INNER BEAUTY.

sorry to contradict you colhan but in the case of adolesant males its actually to be kick ass tough the girls were a bonus . the media is full of cool tough guys with muscles (particularly goku i remember from a documentry on kids who starved themselves to gain muscles, like him) i tried myself but gave up very quickly and leaned a roundhouse move just in case some punk tried anything.
