I always loved this song and preferred it to Love Is Love and as I remember it here on our Charts and unlike The UK Charts, Eloise actually got to #1 and Love Is Love to #2. That could be because here in NZ, Eloise was the first of the two released. and that often makes the difference.

I missed hearing the full middle section on this version which to me was an integral part of the whole song .... but what a song anyway. Totally Magic and what made the 60s special

I remember he disappeared for a while in the early 70s and there was a story that he'd had an accident in a studio (TV? Radio? Recording? I can't remember now) and sustained severe facial burns. I still wonder now if it was just a story concocted to get him out of the limelight for a while because his face has never shown any signs of scarring!

I have loved Paul and Barry Ryan since I was 8 years old - since 1965 in fact!!! This is such a treat hearing this classic again. One of the best song EVER recorded in my opinion. Barry voice is so powerful - fantastic!
